Dear Folks,

 

This evening, and pretty much ONLY this evening, I have been hearing the sounds which I would normally associate with bats flying around.

 

Are there any bats flying around?

 

Do most of Thailand’s suburban neighborhoods have bats?

 

Many years ago, when streets were dark, before the days of rampant street-lighting of pavements in the cities…..

 

Most locals were able to navigate AROUND the potholes, and deep unmarked holes, dotting the sidewalks people frequented after the sun went down.

 

So, are the sounds I am hearing just the echolocation noises from my neighbors?  No, of course not.

 

Still, 40 years ago, in places like Taipei City, and other major cities in Asia, were locals able to avoid the pits and holes where more-unsuspecting Farang might easily fall in?

 

Back to the Topic:

 

Just what kinds of bats might I be dealing with, here up north.  Do they suck blood?  Or, what is it that they actually do suck?  Nectar of the Gods?

 

Maybe now is the season for bats, since now, this evening, the weather is very dry.  And, I have heard that bats prefer dry weather when venturing out at night.

 

There are no caves around my area.  Where, if they are bats, might they originate?

 

Unlike some, I love the sound of bats flying around at night.  They swoop and zoom all over the place.  But this happens, from my experience, at dusk.  And, not now, because now, for me, is 9:00 pm…..

 

Do you ever worry about contracting rabies from a bat, or a succubus, for that matter?  I never do.

 

Bats are a reminder of the MIRACLE OF …. Evolutionary Advantage.

 

How did the Human Eye evolve, for that matter…because…..There are those who sometimes insist that without God, then we could not see.

 

And, TO SEE, in Biblical context means, always….To see the Lord of Lords, and His Truth..

 

What am I hearing this evening????

 

Bats in my Belfry?

Or…

REAL biological creatures that feed on blood and fruits?

One must question... why even bother?

 

For most of your greatest hits topics you make nearly all the posts yourself. Do you even need anyone to talk and respond to you at all? Meaning, is it even theoretically necessary for people to read what you write or for you and humans to anonymously interact? Why not only communicate your scribblings to an LLM that is infinitely far more patient, knowledgeable and intellectual on any topic than a real human? Sounds like a match made in Gamma-Incel heaven. 

I often see bats flying around in the evening after dark. Last year, for a few nights, I also saw those so called flying Foxes before sunset.

 

The one I look forward to seeing are the Fire flies. I only seem to see them around October. So hopefully next month.
