UK MyCSP members (Part 2)

Featured Replies

When I first posted this topic a few weeks ago, I was unsure which forum to use and the moderators moved it anyway. For this entry, I would like it to stay here in General Topics as there are 1.4 million readers or whatever and I want to reach as many Brits as possible.

If you are affected by the above heading then I have only have one further question to ask. I think everybody  who is affected by it will already know that the MyCSP staff have extended their strike action at least until the 9/November. I would like to hear either on open forum or personal email from any member who has managed to receive any pension payments since their action began and how you were able to contact them to persuaded them to pay. Probably the same as others but, my last payment was in June so by next week they will have withheld 3 months of payments. Normally this would not be a problem but we already have local builders waiting for the rain to stop then they will do a fair amount of work for us. Next month I will need to cut into this money I had set aside or get into my serious savings. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I have received payment as normal during the last 3 months. Last payment on September 12th.

Thanks for that. Did you contact them first?

No, I have no issues with them at present, so I guess it just comes via an automated system.

I wish I could say the same. Thanks anyway and I'll send them yet another email.

No issues for me, regularly monthly payments received on time.

Received mine as usual three days ago.  I didn't "manage" to receive it, which suggests difficulty, I received it easily, as normal.

You need to call the DWP, +44 191 218 7777.  The phones are answered from 8am UK time, a time that usually results in a swift pick up.

Same here. Paid directly into my wife's Wise account.

Thanks for the info. I used WISE for 10 years until Barclays closed my account. Now MyCSP send it direct (I believe using an American outfit) and it arrives 2 days later usually around 50 satang under the exchange rate. I will look at WISE once things get back to normal --- if ever.

I had the same issue with Barclays, which is why I asked for my pension to be paid into Wise. It arrives like clockwork at 2.30pm every fourth Friday. As it is in GBP, no exchange rate until I send it to my Thai bank.

I also get my private pension paid into my Wise account.

Cheers for that

Are MyCSP and DWP the same?

No idea, never heard of MyCSP before this thread but I thought your problem was non-receipt of your pension?  DWP are the people to ask about that.

According to Google, MyCPS is civil service pension. So, nothing to do with DWP.

It's yosib 157, not I who reported about a problem with MyCSP. That's why I asked the question. If there is another type of UK pension, paid by the DWP (Department of Works and Pensions), this is getting confusing for the OP.

Ok.  There is another, the state pension, that I thought he was referring to.

As the info in my previous comment was inappropriate, why don't you call...

"How do I contact Civil Service Pensions in the UK?

Those looking for more detailed information, including about their own pensions, should try one or more of these options:

Check out the main Civil Service pensions website or phone 0300 123 6666 (+44 1903 835 902 from overseas)
