Family Dispute Ends in Fatal Stabbing in Surat Thani

A family argument at a workers' camp turned deadly in Surat Thani, Thailand, with a man accused of fatally stabbing a relative. The incident occurred on September 24 at a construction site in Tha Chang district. The victim, 28-year-old Rungtawan from Bueng Kan province, was found with a knife wound, and police recovered a 33-centimeter bloodstained weapon.

Police Colonel Thammaprasit Yongyosying and emergency responders attended the scene. The alleged attacker, identified as Likit, who hails from the same province, was detained and found to be under the influence of alcohol. Initial reports suggest the violence erupted after a drinking session among three relatives.

Witnesses report that conflict arose after Rungtawan allegedly made provocative comments about Likit's wife's alleged affair. Despite efforts to intervene, the argument escalated, leading to Rungtawan's death. Likit did not attempt to flee and was apprehended for further questioning.
