More than 80% of Britons oppose Israel taking part in Eurovision

Featured Replies

More than three-quarters of Britons believe that Israel should not be allowed to participate in the next Eurovision Song Contest, according to a new UK survey.

The poll, conducted this week, found the majority of respondents also wanted the UK to withdraw from the song contest if Israel is allowed to compete in Vienna in 2026.

An overwhelming majority of 82 per cent of respondents said Israel should not be allowed to take part, and a further 69 per cent believe the UK should withdraw if Israel does take part in the song contest.

So you're the one that watched it.

They had to pay the audience.

I understand why people want to ban Israel from Eurovision.

On the other hand Israel's entries are usually highly entertaining.

Aside from the politics Eurovision will be more borng without Israel.

Shaman is a vile Z fascist propagandist.

As Britain is always voted down in Eurovision I'm happy to see it die and be paid for by those countries that think it is important. They can pay for it.

I'm basically 100% opposed to anyone taking part in Eurovision...Eurotrash more like it.

Considering  the history of the UK in Eurovision, they would be doing the world a favour if they withdrew and never participated again.  Let's have a look at the  cringiest and worst of the UK performances over the years;

Eurovision 2003 - United Kingdom -Jemini -Cry Baby - Out of tune, just awful.

Scooch - Flying The Flag - United Kingdom - Eurovision 2007 - Had S Club 7 reunited to work on a  Carnival or Costa cruise ship

And although not  from the UK, Jedward won the hearts of the UK matron  demographic;

I have always been opposed to the recent EURO-INVASION, during recent decades.

Let the South remain where they are.

He may be that but he is a great singer as well - just as Richard Strauss was a great conductor and composer despite being a fellow traveller of the Nazis.

Well, ever since Jedward went elsewhere and that Austrian man in a dress, Eurovision has truly been a drag. 🙂
