An exchange of gunfire occurred at Chong An Ma, Ban Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani, n 27 September 2025 at 12:03, when Cambodian soldiers fired machine guns and grenades toward Thai positions. Thai soldiers responded with similar armed fire. The incident ended at approximately 12:30, with no reported injuries to Thai troops, though the area remains on high alert.

 

The clash began when Cambodian forces opened fire on Thai soldiers along the border area. Eyewitnesses reported hearing sustained machine-gun fire followed by grenade launches. Thai forces immediately returned fire, engaging in a brief but intense exchange lasting around 27 minutes.

And I thought Trump had the two sides make peace.  Guess not.

The question remains.. why did Cambodia shoot??? I can't imagine that they suddenly started to shoot.. There must be something else and I have no evidence but probably Thailand provoked them in one or another way... 

The most obvious cause. A Cambodian or Thai soldier accidentally fired his gun. Accidents do happen.
