Online appointment extend visa Lak Si. How does it work?

Featured Replies

I just booked my online appointment for 9:30am, and I have a confirmation with a queue number, but now I'm wondering how does it work with checking documents? Do I still need to stand in the main line for the officers to check and stamp everything? Because if that's the case then I think this means I need to be first in line which means I have to be there at 7 o clock, which makes me ask what's the point of the online appointment, or am I just guessing wrong and I actually don't need the documents checked?

Also does anyone have the forms so I can fill them out in advance? Last time I went there were new forms and they weren't even available in the back like in the past, they only had them at the desk with the document checkers, someone told me it's a way to make you pay the scanning places for the forms. Is this really true?

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Get there at about 9.15.

You're lucky to get an appointment.  It's impossible to get one for Teachers At a Private Institution...🥵

1. Have hard copy print out of appointment.

2. You need a TM7 form + photo.

3. You still need doc check chick just go to front with appointment print out.

4. They may see you on time present so be early with all docs eg tm7 filled out and TM30 etc. at say 9am.

5. There is print shop next door. Think left side.

3. How exactly does that work? Is there a separate line up front? Or do I just go cut the main line and stand in front of the next person waiting?  That sounds a little crazy to me. The were no instructions on the website after I booked, so I'm just wondering if that's the official process.

4. Sorry, I'm not following your wording "they may see you on time present"... Are you saying they might call me inside the office the moment I approach them? Would you mind rephasing that for me?

Also, is there a link to print out the tm7?

Thanks for the help

OP, re points 3 and 4.

I meant be on time in fact 9am target time.

So do photocopies etc prior or allow time for dealing with print shop.

Re the queue. .. Most likely you can just flash appointment confirmation and be directed to doc check.

For 30 day extension that is very few photocopies of pp and of course TM7 and TM30.

The que lady will want to see your filled in TM7

You do need to go to the document check first, but you don't need to queue up. Just walk straight to the table and tell the officer that you have an online appointment.

Make sure that your documents are complete and that you are there 15 minutes before your appointment.

They'll give you a special online queue card instead of the regular one. With this, you can enter the main room at the time of your appointment, and again, tell them that you have an online appointment so that they will call you to a counter.

Just to update on this topic.

Arrived early, place was a zoo, as always. No signage to tell you how to get in the building before 10:00, but you have to walk up 3 flights of old concrete stairs in the back of a dark parking lot. When you get in, there's no place to stand for online appointments, as the distance between the queue and the chairs people sit in are just a few feet. I approached the nearest lady from behind the tables, and told her I have online appointment, she pointed me to another lady who said I need to print screenshot of the email. Then I sat down and said I need to fill out 4 forms and asked why I only have the tm7. I told her I don't see where are the forms and she didn't reply, because as I mentioned in my opening post, the forms are no longer available at the back of the room with the desks, and until now I still don't have a clue how are we supposed to get these forms. So she gave me the forms, I filled them and came bank and she processed me through and sent me directly into the office, and I'd say from there I was finished within a half hour.

So online appointment is definitely still a much better option than showing up day of, but the part about cutting the queue, and why there are no paperwork trays anymore are pretty irritating. I don't know if it's gross incompetence, or if they intentionally want it to be as much of a hellhole as possible?

actually IF you go in the front ground service entrance by the 7/11 you can walk right into the mall and then over to the elevators on the left and take them up to the floor you need 😉

Glad it worked out, seems like you managed it without too much drama..

Strange they pulled those boxes of forms, when I was there a few weeks ago they had them at the front just as you enter the immigration area on a counter that has them numbered and says take one of each 😕

I think they generally assume that someone who makes an online appointment is already familiar with the process and the forms required, because anyone who isn't, most likely wouldn't be informed and organized enough to make an appointment several weeks ahead of time either.

Don't follow.

The standard acknowledgement forms plus couple of new ones are handed out at various/all immigration offices.

Along with the standard forms such as TM7, TM8 etc etc.

Immigration sould supply these forms.

I have no doubt that they supply all those forms, as they're mostly dealing with walk-ins, not with people who have appointments. As I haven't been there recently, I can only guess that they've changed the spot where those forms are up for grabs.

What I meant was in response to the document checker's reaction when seeing that the OP (who had an appointment) came to the document check unprepared.

In my earlier post in reply to the OP's questions before going there, i had written:

That's exactly what they expect.
