Police in Pattaya are investigating a deadly street fight between two groups of Myanmar nationals that left two men dead and another seriously injured. The incident occurred at 06:05 on 30 September 2025 on Pattaya Third Road, close to the Laem Bali Hai overpass and The Department of Lands traffic lights junction. Emergency services responded quickly after receiving reports of a violent altercation.

At the scene, officers found the body of a Myanmar man with a stab wound to the chest. A 15-centimetre fruit knife was discovered around 10 metres from his body. Another Myanmar man was found dead with two stab wounds to his back, while a third victim, identified as 20-year-old So Na, suffered serious chest injuries and was taken for urgent treatment.

Witnesses reported seeing the victims chased by a larger group shortly before the attack escalated. A 27-year-old local resident said they first assumed it was a minor altercation before realising the severity of the violence and contacting police. The fatalities shocked residents, with many stopping their vehicles to watch as forensic teams examined the bodies.

According to a translator assisting police, the dispute involved two groups of Myanmar nationals with a history of conflict. The confrontation is believed to have started with arguments during a football match. Tensions resurfaced when the groups encountered each other roadside, quickly escalating into a fatal clash.

Police later confirmed they had detained two suspects, both Myanmar nationals, who admitted to carrying out the attack. Officers secured the area and collected evidence including two intact knives and one broken blade left at the scene. Forensic teams also documented overturned plants and damaged property near the site.

The deceased were identified as 27-year-old Kyi Cha Mor and 22-year-old Mr Pream Ci, both from Myanmar. Their bodies were transferred to Pattaya Hospital for formal examination and to await collection by relatives for religious rites. Police sealed the crime scene for investigation.

Pol Lt Col Sirivat Kachamat, deputy superintendent of Pattaya police, confirmed that the suspects would face full legal process. Investigative teams are continuing to review CCTV footage showing the fight starting near Laem Bali Hai bridge before moving to outside an apartment block. Authorities say the case highlights ongoing challenges in managing disputes among migrant worker groups.
