Certificate of Residency required. Take your TM30 and passport to immigration.

Is it free? ..No... you'll probably have to sell the bike to pay for it!

It is actually free, but they charge money to give it right away..., if complain and say it's free, he says go come back in a week, even then probably not ready...!!?

Used to be 300b in Phuket, it's now 500b I'm told..., by the time you get there could be even higher, inflation..! 😲

Title (and OP) needs to be corrected - Certificate of Residence   (if thats what the Op means which the first response indicates).

Officially - the CoR (Certificate of Residence) is free and it 'may' take a couple of weeks for the Immigration office to post it out.

In reality - we're in Thailand, where graft rules and if you want something done its easier just to play along.

Obtaining the CoR also depends on where you are - for example, at Immigration in Bangkok you might be asked for a 90 day report (which means you will have had to have been here for at least 90 days) [**note - that may have evolved]

Whereas in Chiang Mai you can get a CoR without providing a 90 report (according to many comments on this forum).

Mileage varies which is why there is so much debate based around experiences with things we expect should be standardised.

Thus: the best option: Head to your local Immigration and tell them what you need - A Certificate of Residence (also called Certificate of Address), you might be charged (likely) for it (i.e. 500 baht) and can receive it there and then...  experiences vary.

I needed one to renew my DL, my locale immigration office gave it to me free, on the spot, just showed them my passport.

Like most immigration offices in Thailand, they are no 2 the same.

I have brought 3 new bikes now never needed any Immagration paperwork, I would try another bike dealer a small independent one, one bike I brought I had to tell the girl what she needed, copy of passport visa, and showed her the pages in my passport to photocopy.

Where ???  why not give information of Which Immigration office ? - that might at least help the op or others nearby your area.
