Young adults shocked to find parents left them unvaccinated

You guys take yourselves way too seriously. This is a Thai forum. No anti vax person comes here looking to be told what to do. The op could start 500 topics about measles. It won't save 1 life.

He,s posting news, much like the other thousands of news posted here. Look at how you drool over things about Trump, although you just said this was about things to do here, visas and other Thai things. Ask yourself, just why do you come here in the first place. Everyone here already knows about you two, and why.

To keep kids, young people and adults from becoming needlessly ill from a highly infectious disease that can easily be prevented, and prevented from spreading, by a simple childhood vaccination.

'On the precipice of disaster': Measles may be endemic in 25 years if vaccine uptake stays low, model predicts

"Other vaccine-preventable diseases will not likely reestablish endemicity under current vaccination levels. If routine childhood vaccination fell by 50%, 51.2 million measles cases, 9.9 million cases of rubella, 4.3 million cases of polio, and 197 cases of diphtheria could occur over 25 years.

Under this scenario, 51,200 cases of postmeasles neurologic sequelae, 10,700 cases of congenital rubella syndrome, 5,400 cases of paralytic poliomyelitis, 10.3 million hospitalizations, and 159,200 deaths may occur. Measles may become endemic within 4.9 years and rubella by 18.1 years, while polio may return to endemic levels within 19.6 years.  [emphasis added]

Easy then. Don't comment.

Try as I may, I cannot find the immigration status of the 3 (count 'em, 3) measles deaths in the USA this year.

I wonder why...   Well, not really,

Free speech and facts are on my side.

You’re a very lazy advocate.   Cutting and pasting articles on a Thai forum rather than getting out and actually doing something speaks volumes….

Children are dying from your lack of effort.

And are YOU out every day wearing a sandwich board warning of the dangers of non vaccination?

You never post anything besides copy and pasted opinions. If you have scientific facts, post them. If not, try another topic. Trolling isn't part of free speech.

3 people is hardly even a rounding error.   But you’d love to see me held down and injected against my will to “save the children”

Well unless you are an actual child (which your posts do somewhat suggest) then no-one is holding you down to inject you.

Perhaps you are conflating two different scenarios i.e. your personal choice with the likes of the Covid vaccine (not arguing with that, it's a choice you are free to make and have to live with (or die) with your decision) with the vaccination of children who don't get a say in the matter but do have to live (or die) with the consequences.

Take care of your own kids rather than trying to control how other people choose to raise theirs.

Child deaths are here

https://www.who.int/data/gho/data/themes/topics/topic-details/GHO/child-mortality-and-causes-of-death

the United States, the leading causes of death among children aged 5 to 9 years from 2020 to 2022 were unintentional injuries (28.3% in 2022), cancer (15.3% in 2022), and congenital malformations (9.4% in 2022). Unintentional injuries remain the top cause of death for children and young adults aged 1 to 19 years, with approximately 12,000 deaths annually from such causes. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional injury-related death among children aged 1 to 4 years, with most incidents occurring in residential pools or open water.

It took me all of 30 seconds to find this.

'More than 65% of Texas’ cases are in Gaines County, population 22,892, where the virus started spreading in a close-knit, undervaccinated Mennonite community.'   https://www.cnbc.com/2025/04/06/second-child-died-from-measles-related-causes-in-west-texas-where-cases-are-nearing-500.html

Mennonites are a diverse Anabaptist Christian community, with roots in the 16th-century Protestant Reformation and named for Menno Simons. I'm guessing they are NOT the illegals you are trying desperately to allude to.

Not me. I would simply let you die and concentrate on people worth saving.

Even under Trump, religious objection to flu shot results in service member's dismissal from military

https://www.wnd.com/2025/10/even-under-trump-religious-objection-flu-shot-results/

It is very sad to see that some service members are blatantly denied their First Amendment right to freedom of religion. The vaccine wackos, who even put masks on dogs, feel it necessary to control the lives of the good citizens with their drugs. This needs to stop.

What you and your buddy there always do, is not read all of what's written and make an assumption based on one reply. . I'm thinking that children dying means nothing to you, as you , thank God, haven't any, and don't understand what it means to have one, let alone lose one to a preventable disease. Do you actually read what people post or just look at the first line and make a comment?

I look up the facts then post links. Words on here all are mostly biased and subjective. Drownings are a big issue not measles.

Deaths of any child , or anyone, are an issue. Especially preventable ones, like no vaccinations, drownings, drunk driving, electrocutions and many others.

The problem being that 'how other people choose to raise theirs' has a very serious impact on children that are NOT theirs.

For example, children under 6 months of age (who cannot be immunized) or other children who have a severely weakened immune system due to conditions like organ transplants, chemotherapy, or other medical treatments or even children who have had a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) and who cannot receive the vaccine are put at risk through lack of herd immunity. Therefore 'other people' choosing not to vaccinate their children does have an impact on society. And since a healthy society only survives through the will and compassion of the majority, I unlike yourself, choose to help others and will certainly call out those (including yourself) who choose not to.

Talking about them on here makes no impact.

We are in this topic. if you want to discuss, do that. Show evidence to enhance or dispute. You don't compare apples to oranges. This is about vaccines and parents seeing children get sick and die from not having them. Too hard to understand?

The 50 people reading it can't change the world. 500 topics on measles or drownings won't change the statistics.

Those rare children who, as you say, cannot be vaccinated…..should stay home.

Their body, your choice?   Nah.

"In 2024, 20.6 million children missed the first lifesaving measles vaccine dose."

"107,500 lives lost to measles worldwide in 2023, mostly children."

"Children less than 5 years old, and those living in low- and middle- income countries, are at the highest risk of severe complications and death."  [those being countries like Thailand...]

Don't be ridiculous, that's exactly what public health information does. Why do you think the HHS and NHS are doing when they release information - filling up time?

The more people who are educated with the CORRECT information, the better the chances are for people to avoid the consequences.

And the 6 month year old who does stay at home but is infected by their older sibling?

Haven't really thought this through have you?
