Man Kills Brother-in-Law in Dispute Over  ฿1000 Debt

A violent altercation in Phu Wiang District, Khon Kaen Province, on 10 October 2025, left a man dead after a dispute over a small debt. Mr. Chumphon, 37, was arrested for fatally stabbing his brother-in-law, Mr. Jakree Chingnu, 31, following a confrontation at their family home. Jakree died en route to hospital after sustaining three stab wounds to his back.

Two Thai Women Caught Smuggling 68kg of Ice Across Border

Customs officials in Nong Khai have arrested two Thai women for attempting to smuggle 68 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, “ice”, across the Thai–Lao border, into Thailand. The seized drugs, hidden inside a white Toyota car, are estimated to be worth over 20 million baht.

Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash On Roi Et Bridge

A 36-year-old man was killed early on 11 October after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a bridge railing in Roi Et province. The impact threw him off the bridge into a ravine below, where he was found dead at the scene. Rescue workers used ropes to retrieve his body from beneath the bridge.

A German couple sustained head injuries after an intruder broke into their Khao Lak,  Phang Nga province, home in the early hours of October 11, 2025. The assailant entered through the roof and attacked the homeowners with a liquor bottle before fleeing. Both victims were treated for head lacerations at Khao Lak Medical Center.

Pickup Crashes into Power Poles, City Plunged into Darkness

A late-night crash in Trang left much of the city without electricity after a woman driving a pickup truck struck and knocked down nine power poles, damaging transformers and several nearby vehicles. An explosion caused by a suspected cooking gas leak destroyed a beauty salon in Pathum Thani’s Mueang district on the morning of 11 October, killing one person and injuring seven others. The blast ignited a fire and sent debris flying more than 30 metres and damaged nearby houses and vehicles. Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes.

Health Ministry Inspects Dialysis Clinic Over Patient Charges

Officials from the Ministry of Public Health conducted an unannounced inspection of a dialysis clinic in Bangkok’s Phasi Charoen district following complaints that it charged patients for treatment. The investigation was led by Chittrat Meethongthanakorn, Secretary to the Minister of Public Health, along with Dr Somruk Jungsaman, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and Dr Sadet Thammaphat-aree, Secretary-General of the National Health Security Office (NHSO). The team aimed to ensure compliance with the government policy guaranteeing free dialysis treatment for all patients.

Two Arrested for Fake Tea Brand Scam With 10M Daily Withdrawals

Authorities have arrested two members of a criminal gang that impersonated the famous Cha Tra Mue brand to defraud investors. The suspects, Mr. Somchai, 27 and Mr. Mongkol, 43, were apprehended in Bangkok on October 11, 2025, after managing “mule accounts” that withdrew more than 10 million baht daily. Both suspects have confessed to their roles in the operation.

Tourists Defrauded by Foreign Gang Selling Fake Health Products

On October 11, 2025, tourists from the Middle East reported being defrauded in a shop located in Soi Nana, Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The suspects lured customers into the store, offering products claimed to aid weight loss, hair growth, general health and sexual enhancement. Victims were reportedly given drinks mixed with these products, causing disorientation and confusion before being pressured to purchase the items.

Chinese Man Arrested for Stealing 2 Baht Gold in Bangkok

A 59-year-old Chinese national was arrested for allegedly stealing a 2-baht gold bracelet worth 111,280 baht from a well-known shop in Wang Burapha, Bangkok. The arrest took place on 10 October 2025 at a hotel on Tri Mit Road, following a police investigation supported by CCTV evidence.
