Not sure about saving the frogs but I wish you'd save your hand-wringing over your irrelevant feelings of "guilt and privilege". It's embarrassing to watch.

No kidding.

Totally correct Harris, yourself, the two GGs, and anyone who used to be Bob are making AN into a comedy with your one-line insults, the GGs starting stupid threads.

Put us on ignore then and then you don't have to whinge anymore.

Have you been to Bangkok, Harrisfan?

How many times?

What do you recommend there?

Answer the questions.

Some of the world's best parks (Lumpini, Benjakitti, Suan Rot Fai, Bang Nam Phueng etc.), widest variety of the best cuisine & wine from all over the world, a fantastic MRT & BTS passenger commute system, theatres (Ratchadalai, M-theatre etc), 20 or more British & IB curriculum schools, amazing variety of shopping malls, Grand temples, friendly locals, world class coffee shops, very safe etc. In fact, all of my business visitors from all over the western world envy us working in Bangkok office buildings like One Bangkok, Dusit Central, Mahanakorn etc.

The traffic is as bad as in any big metropolitan city, the footpaths are very badly maintained, the roads have many patchwork repairs. I don't visit so I won't comment on shady redlight areas & bars.

No adverse comment on anything you say.  I have been to some red light districts out of curiosity, but not my thing.  I did note the OP was asking about Gen Z, which according to AI is currently around 13-to-28 years olds.  Even I can see there's plenty for that age group in Bangkok, even though I'm more than double the age of the Gen Z folks.

But aren't all capital/ major cities the same?

I have not counted the number of cities I've been to, but I know I've been to 73 countries for various reasons.  In terms of what you've replied to, IMHO everywhere is the same to some degree or other; Bangkok is nowhere near the extremes either way.  I lived in London for years, and that might be one of the closest in terms of the gap (ignoring a few outliers like homelessness & the oligarchs/royalty), much like most European, Aus, NZ, US & Canadian cities.  The other end of the scale are Indian cities, Bangladeshi, Filipino and many other Asia cities (Japan/Korea excepted).  For me either Yangon or Dhaka are probably the most stark in terms of riches to poverty.  But, I still went there and made sure I spent money on stuff that avoided lining the pockets of the rich as much as I could.  For me too, the worst thing to do is not go to these places as that'd just widen the gap further.

Main differences are nightlife, food and hotel options.

Using the term " dude " makes me think you have partaken in way too many teenage movies.

As for growing up, I have seen enough in my lifetime to know I have grown up and survived more crap than I should have

So just go back to writing your inane 4 word posts and PLEASE try to be a man, after all you do have opposing thumbs

Oh look! The ROFLMAO emoji. The last redoubt of the conversationally challenged, intellectually stunted and opinionated been-there, done-that old know-it-alls who are struggling hopelessly with change and their burgeoning irrelevance.

I’m not sure who is more childish: you or Harrisfan.

Sweet Jesus, you like to express yourself somewhat.

Did you spit your dummy out and can't find it?

My reason for the emoji is simple, I am an OLD man who tires easily, and it was my nap time.
