Gaza as an "open air prison"

Classic victim blaming.  Israel declared independence in 1948, so OF COURSE the only acceptable response was a war of genocide by the Arab League. What else could they have done?

Israel is the equivalent of the woman dressed too provocatively, so that  men cannot control themselves and have to assault her.

  • Yes, just like Nazi Concentration Camps.   Complete with ice cream stands, cafes, grocery stores.   Here is the Al Mashtah Hotel in the concentration camp.

  • That hotel, like 90% of Gaza is rubble. Stop trying to deviate from Israeli crimes. Gaza has been a prison camp for decades, anyone non Israeli/Jewish can see that.

  • Gaza is rubble because of Hamas.   The photos I added were BEFORE Hamas decided to start a genocide. They clearly show that Gaza was far from a "prison camp". That is a shibboleth that needs

I apologize to you.

And yes, somehow that was an insult but I was just "cooperating" to see how far that gets.

Because it was very clear from the start that you're not having a conversation here.

What you did was it quite well-known debate strategy, mostly used in discussions when your opponent is exposing something which is contrary to your position and in addition is having the better arguments.

1. Pick out some completely unimportant debatable point and accuse your opponent of being a liar

2. Confuse your opponent with the next triviality

3. Create more confusion by taking out every sentence out of context and machine gunning him with questions

4. Until he gets frustrated and might even swear at you

5. Accuse him of his misbehavior towards you and continue with victim switching while branding him as uneducated and lacking brain power so following logic anything he said is wrong and stupid.

You are not dumb. You are actually very smart and have mastered this debate strategy.

The only sad thing is that you obviously do not realize what you are doing.

You are protecting a fascist and apartheid system while whitewashing its aggressions and brutality towards people it has occupied in the past and justifying more atrocities towards them in the present and the future.

You are stripping the Palestinians of their basic human rights and condemn them for things Israel has done to them 1000 times more.

And you do all this by downplaying or denying Israeli atrocities While trying to present them as the victims.

Same as you I am not able to offer a solution but other than you, I strongly believe that a fair solution for both sides can only be found by unsparingly revealing the truth of the actions and crimes of both sides And not by hiding it and trying to rewrite history.

Because this way you are condemned to repeat it.

I apologize but..., is not an apology, particularly when you go on to blame me for your "misbehavior".

You admittedly made up a story about Palestinians being harassed "almost daily" by IDF soldiers, and when that was proven to be demonstrably false.

Now you are claiming that the fact that you are telling stories that are demonstrably false "completely unimportant".

I am not denying the Palestinians anything. They can do whatever they like as far as I'm concerned.

Why do you again try blame switching by intentionally mistaking explanation for justification?

NOBODY here justified the atrocities of October 7. Stop implying that.

But the way Israel had treated Gazans for decades, the Thousands of dead and Ten thousands of disabled were an explanation for it.

Stop the wrong accusations.

The 1200 killed were not mostly children. 30 of them were children.

You say nobody is justifying the atrocities of October 7, BUT...

And then you go on to justify the atrocities of October 7, when Palestinians raped, tortured, murdered and kidnapped over a thousand people, including children, bragged about it, and then dragged to hostages through the streets through cheering crowds.

11 hours ago, Somjot said:

And if you rightfully condemn that why not condemn the 17.000 dead kids in Gaza?

I condemn anyone that intentionally targets and kills innocent children.

Before the rise of Zionism and the ensuing wars, many Jewish and Muslim families in the region spoke the same languages, shared neighborhoods, and participated in each other’s festivals and commerce. The Jews caused and continue to cause all the conflicts in the ME with continued land grabs and illegal settlements in Palestinian lands.
You know very well that it is accepted by many, including forums like this to say things like Muslims cause all the problems in the UK but when saying Jews cause all the problems in the ME, that antisemitism card is abused.

You know very well that Netanyahu, Smotrich, Ben Gvir want and the latter have stated recently that they are going to take all Gaza, West Bank and even farther afield. It is this greed and arrogance that they are better than others that has caused the hatred of Israel around the world, even in Thailand, a very tolerant nation.

I’ve no idea why you continue to support the vile extremist Israeli government.

Were you in the US army, brainwashed into unjust wars and all Muslims are evil.

Do you think 11/9 happened in a vacuum, do you think 7/10 happened in a vacuum?

I have never heard anyone say the Muslims are causing all the problems in the UK.

No slip up, I meant to say Jews. Look at the context.

Also, the Genocidal, maniac, far right Jewish extremist government are 100% comprised of Jews.

So much for equal representation.

Yet, you continue to support these monsters in power.

Do you agree with the most powerful ministers, Ben Gvir and Smotrich? Don't tell me you haven't heard of them like you did when I mentioned Daniella Weis.

If you like I'll tell you what the said recently about Jewish expansion in the area.

Those two idiots are fringe. No chance of getting any power.

As for the genocidal Jewish government, I invite you to compare it to the surrounding governments. Israel is about 20% Arabic/Muslim, and they have representation in the government and judiciary. How many Jews are involved in government in Egypt? Iraq? Turkey even?  Please don't play the "equal representation" card, it won't go well for you.

Now, back to "the Jews caused the wars".... how did Israel cause the 1948 invasion by the Arab League?

Ah, the classic whataboutism. “But look at Egypt! What about Iraq?!”  as if pointing to other governments’ failures somehow erases Israel’s own actions. That is moral deflection. If the best defense of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians is “well, other countries are worse,” you’ve already admitted there’s a problem!

Yes, Israel has Arab citizens who can vote and serve in parliament. Nobody’s denying that. But let’s not pretend that cancels out decades of occupation, land seizures, and military control over millions of Palestinians who have no vote in the government that controls EVERY major aspect of their lives. Having a few Arab politicians in the Knesset doesn’t make the checkpoints vanish or the blockades lift.

And mocking “equal representation” just makes your position weaker. If you’re proud of being a democracy, then equality is the standard. Comparing Israel to authoritarian regimes like Egypt or Iraq isn’t a defense, it’s an admission that you’ve run out of moral ground to stand on, which is typical of Jews in the last 2 years.

So Israel treats its own Arab citizens better than its neighbors treated Jews, congratulations on clearing the lowest bar imaginable. But when a country calls itself democratic, it doesn’t get judged by the region’s dictatorships. It gets judged by its own values. And on that test, Israel’s record toward Palestinians fails miserably.

Why will no other country accept refugees from Palestine?

2 hours ago, Hanaguma said:

Those two idiots are fringe. No chance of getting any power.

555 people like Smotrich and Ben Gvir and also Israel Katz are not “fringe” actors, they aren’t on the edges. They’re in the middle of power.

Israel Katz is the Defence Minister who has publicly threatened to “destroy” large parts of the Gaza Strip if his conditions aren’t met.

He’s announced the Israeli army will seize “large areas” of Gaza, incorporate them into security zones, and keep Israeli forces there indefinitely.

He’s stated that humanitarian aid into Gaza is “on hold” and has explicitly said civilians will “lose more and more territory” if Hamas doesn’t capitulate.

This is the person who makes the policy, who has the title and power.

So when you claim these folks are just “fringe” and that Israel’s government is moderate and balanced, you’re ignoring reality. If the minister of defense is threatening massive destruction, telling civilians to evacuate or lose territory, saying forces will stay “indefinitely”  that’s not fringe. That is power. That IS policy.

If your argument is: “Yes, okay, they’re extreme but they don’t control anything”, then you are simply ignorant of the Israeli cabinet. They hold ministerial portfolios, they shape strategy, and they are part of the governing coalition. To treat them as irrelevant is to deny the power structures in place.

What about Netanyahu, do you support his policies?

Oh my, are you serious.

Asking “why won’t other countries take them” completely misses the point. It’s not a question about generosity; it’s a question about accountability. The world isn’t supposed to erase the evidence of ethnic cleansing just to make the problem more convenient for the terrorist state of Israel.

They’re not random migrants looking for a better economy. They’re a displaced population that was forced out of their homeland, and every Arab country knows that accepting them permanently would mean abandoning their right to return.

Yeah, just like the Jews have the "right to return" to Morocco, Libya, Algeria, Egypt....

Be honest, the whole "right to return" is a sham. The Palestinians lost a war and lost land. It happens to every aggressor. Happened to Germany (twice), happened to Japan, it is the way of the world. You don't fight a war of extermination like the Palestinians and Arab League did, lose the war, then expect to just go back to status quo ante.  More than ten million Germans were displaced after WW2, forced from their homes and homeland. Where is THEIR right of return?

The real reasons, which JimCM doesn't want to say, is that the Palestinians mess up and destabalize every country that admits them. Plus, they are a convenient tool for the other Arab nations to use against Israel. But hopefully that latter reason at least has come to an end with the current peace deal.

you instinctively brand him as an anti-semite for justifying persecution of Jews in history, despite he did not say anything like that.

Smart as you are you disguise it as a question so you can at any time say, you never accused him you just asked.

Or when I write an imaginary story supposed to explain the situations of many people in the occupied territories, which is about a guy who does not want to fight Israel, tries to keep himself and his family out of trouble and is even insulted as a traitor by Hamas members, Is confronted by a heavy loss: his 14 year old son was killed by an IDF soldier without any reason.

Yet  @Yellowtail came up with “Oh gazans are not harassed every day . You are lying” and other ridiculous arguments and more stupid questions only to debunk the core message of my post.

Which is based on facts. Facts that clearly prove Israel as the racist state it is. Facts which are very uncomfortable for the Israel defenders.

When the soldiers of your country can indiscriminately kill children in an occupied area and less than 1% of these war criminals are prosecuted and received sentences and the average sentence is one month of community service, then this should be your main  concern and not some unimportant discrepancies in my post.

Yet you go on with ridiculous answers in order to distract from the main problem.

Which again shows me that you don't see this decade long atrocities which never faced  justice as a problem.

Instead you whine about antisemitism at every occasion and try to brand some members in here of being anti-semitic  by intentionally misinterpreting their posts

And it is lost.

Because even if your lie, that the attacks of October 7 were unprovoked, was true, nothing, absolutely nothing can justify what your country did in response.

Nothing can justify the indiscriminate murder of 70,000 people 1/3 of them being innocent children, some of them your soldiers even intentionally shot for target practice, your destruction of almost every building, your intentional murder of journalists, medics and foreign aid workers, all disciplines where you reached new world records, not to mention the starvation.

If opposing all these atrocities makes me an anti-semite in your eyes, so be it.

But what does defending these atrocities and silencing or facing any criticism with pathetic debating methods make you in the eyes of the world?

And what does it make your country, if only the vetoes of the last remaining superpower have saved you countless times from UN resolutions in the last 7 decades which were supposed to stop your attacks on neighboring countries, your illegal settlements and other atrocities towards civilians?

And you pathetically, uncompassionately, no wickedly expect them not to have any dysfunction. Have you any idea what Gazans are going through now, their futures non existent, schools, universities, mosques, hospitals flattened by IDF, 12% of their population murdered, God knows how many are orphaned with fewer limbs than 2 years ago…. You have just outed yourself as a bigoted  Islamophobe.

Not at all. Plenty of decent Muslim countries in the world- Malaysia and Indonesia come to mind.

But the Palestinians?  Start sh!t everywhere they go. Waste time and passion on a non-achievable goal (the so-called right of return) rather than making life better for their children. Built a death cult in Gaza, where murderers are called 'martyrs' and children learn to count by using dead Jews as examples.

They make their own hell because they continue to attack Israel.   I don't know why you feel the need to defend these awful people.

This is what happened when the people of Gaza decided to start a war on October 7, 2023.  Based on your logic, the Japanese and German people were innocent victims after WW2.
