Flu shot time has passed for this year. New vaccine comes out about April next year.

This is nonsense. Still plenty of time to get it. I got mine at Bumrungrud in August, Vaxigrip Tetra 2025. They had a deal going then.

Flu vaccines vary by region/season. Obviously hospitals will have the right one.

Exactly....Do more research .... Flu vaccines come out in March/April in Thailand. So now is nearly November, so there are many new strains since that time, which will/should be incorporated into the next vaccine for 2026. So really a waste of time to get the old one now. Your shot in August was 3 months ago and yes of course ok then (as I also had mine in early August).

So maybe put your nonsense comments away and get with the program.

OP, ignore this combative halfwit. A 2-minute search says he's wrong. If you're elderly or vulnerable get a shot. Mahidol U's Thai Travel Clinic (https://www.thaitravelclinic.com/) is a good place to call first.

Thanks for the replies. I would think that even with WHO`s guidelines regarding vaccination for the southern or northern hemisphere, the increase in flu will also be somewhat weather and seasonally dependent! And since the southernmost parts of Thailand are now coming out of the rainy season, my experience over many years is that we who live in the Southern part on the east coast are exposed to much more rain now than ever before in the year and much cooler weather until closer to February the following year, and half the population here is always running around coughing from September - February annually. Anyway, I will check with the clinic mentioned above to hear what they recommend.

Note that if you ard over 65, a higher dose vaccine is recommended.  This is because older people's immune response is not as robust.

Only a few places seem to offer this here. Mahifol travel clinic does

https://www.thaitravelclinic.com/cost.html

So does the Golden Jubilee Medicsl Center in Salaya, which is where I got it.

For future reference, peak flu season in Thailand is roughly May through Novrmber (the rainy season).

Last year, I got my high dose shot at Jomtien Pattaya Bangkok hospital.  They seemed to have most all of the vaccines.
