Police in Bangkok have arrested a popular TikTok influencer and her boyfriend for allegedly running a full-scale drug distribution operation involving “zombie pods,” ecstasy, “happy water,” and ketamine. The raid, conducted by the Women and Children Protection Division, uncovered multiple types of illicit substances.

On 15 October, Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, and Pol Maj Gen Pallop Aremla, Deputy Commissioner, directed Pol Col Santi Kornkasem, Pol Lt Col Peerach Vessasakosol, Pol Lt Col Woraprat Wuttirak, and Pol Capt Yoschanin Prasertsopha to lead the operation. Officers stormed a condominium in Ladprao district, arresting the suspect identified only as Ms. A and her boyfriend.

Police seized a range of evidence including 116 “zombie” vape pods, 47 ecstasy tablets, six packets of “happy water” weighing 44 grams and one bag of ketamine weighing 1.19 grams. The pair were detained at the scene for questioning.

According to Pol Capt Yoschanin, the arrests followed an ongoing investigation into the sale of “zombie pods” or “Eto pods,” a type of electronic cigarette containing Etomidate, a controlled psychotropic substance classified as Type 2. Previous operations had already led to multiple arrests and seizures of assets linked to the illegal trade. Further intelligence revealed that Ms. A, who has a large online following as a product reviewer, had secretly been selling these illegal items to customers in Bangkok and beyond.

Following her arrest, police charged the couple with three offences:

1. Possession and distribution of Type 1 narcotics(ecstasy and “happy water”) with intent to sell, without official authorization, and in a manner contributing to public distribution.

2. Possession of a Type 2 psychotropic substance(ketamine).

3. Handling or concealing goods known to be illegally imported, in violation of Section 242 of the Customs Act B.E. 2560 (2017).

Both suspects remain in police custody as authorities expand the investigation to identify suppliers, distribution networks and possible links to larger drug rings operating within Bangkok’s nightlife and online communities.
