Two Chinese nationals were detained at Suvarnabhumi Airport on alleged charges of a burglary spree across multiple Bangkok districts. Identified as 38-year-old Lin Li and 39-year-old Xiaowu Liu, the suspects reportedly stole items exceeding 1 million baht in total value, targeting residences in Don Mueang and Saimai. Their arrest followed a coordinated operation by Don Mueang Police, with the recovery of numerous stolen goods in the airport’s parking area.

The investigation followed reports of two burglaries on October 15 in Soi Soranakhom. In the first, a homeowner discovered their residence ransacked and around 50,000 baht worth of valuables missing, including coins and amulets. Surveillance footage captured an individual breaching the property, providing a lead for the ongoing investigation.

Hours later, a second incident in Soi Soranakhom 9 was reported, with CCTV showing two suspects entering and exiting with valuables over 310,000 baht. The evidence linked the duo to several burglaries, facilitated by a rented white Toyota Yaris after entering Thailand via Don Mueang Airport.

Police disclosed that the stolen items were divided between the two to prevent suspicion. They face theft charges and other related offenses, as they remain in custody. The legal proceedings against them continue, potentially uncovering more details about their activities and any additional accomplices involved.

As the case progresses, authorities emphasize the importance of vigilance and cooperation from local residents to prevent future incidents. Enhanced security measures and community awareness are seen as pivotal in curbing similar crimes.
