The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) transferred seized assets, on 22 October 2025, from the P Miner Cryptocurrency Group case, valued at over 251 million baht, to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) to be distributed to victims. The handover was witnessed by Justice Minister Pol. Gen. Rutthapol Naowarat, DSI Director Pol. Lt. Col. Yutthana Praedam, AMLO Secretary-General Thepsu Baworachotidara and AMLO Assistant Secretary-General Wittaya Neetitham.

The case involved the P Miner Cryptocurrency Group and associates, who allegedly lured the public into cryptocurrency trading and Bitcoin mining investments with promised returns of 69.38–419.75% per year. Classified as Special Case 290/2565, the DSI had seized 264 assets including bank deposits exceeding 113 million baht, digital assets worth 49 million baht, life insurance policies, multiple land plots, condominiums, luxury cars such as Bentley, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW and motorcycles including Harley Davidson and Indian.

AMLO issued Order Y.229/2568 on 11 September 2025 to temporarily seize these assets to facilitate civil measures and distribute compensation to victims. Pol. Gen. Rutthapol highlighted the government’s prioritisation of combating technology-related crimes, with cross-agency cooperation enabling the recovery of assets and high restitution rates to affected investors. Daily reporting mechanisms, similar to those used during the COVID-19 crisis, are being proposed to alert the public to scams and raise awareness.

Pol. Lt. Col. Yutthana added that pyramid schemes and financial frauds, including forex and Dicon Group cases involving billions of baht, continue to emerge. The DSI is pursuing criminal charges for money laundering and civil restitution by transferring seized assets to AMLO. The investigation confirmed that suspects fraudulently solicited cryptocurrency investments with abnormally high returns, exceeding legal limits.

Investigations have identified 630 victims with total damages around 870 million baht. Five warrants have been issued (four individuals and one legal entity) for charges including fraudulent lending, public deception, and computer system fraud. Some suspects have fled to neighbouring countries and further investigations are ongoing to identify additional perpetrators and seize remaining assets.

AMLO has opened a 90-day period from 24 September to 23 December 2025 for victims to file claims for restitution under anti-money laundering law. If civil courts order asset liquidation, proceeds will be proportionally distributed to victims.
