Carney apologizes to Trump

Henry of Navarre, a Protestant who converted to Catholicism to become King of France, once quipped Paris is worth a mass. For Carney, the same kind of disavowal applies to Washington.

Your knowledge of history is as flawed as your politics. Henry was forced to abjure Catholicism. He crawled before the Potestants too, like a whipped dog doing anything he could to keep power and his life.

Sort of like Carney. Crawling to Trump. Looking at the numbers, watching Western Canada getting ready to unleash their power, elections coming in Quebec...Canada is dissolving before his eyes.  Doug Ford trying to outflank him,

Oh Canada, you are a part of us,

Our Northern states, filled with Frenchie roughs!

With reddened eyes, from legal weed

The far North bows its knee

From far and wide, O Canada,

to Trump our allegiance be........

Its already the National Hockey League and mostly from the US.

  • Wait, are you actually saying you believe the apology is sincere, and not the words of a grown-up who, for the good of his country, is trying to mollify a person who has the mental maturity of a 5 y/o

  • Only the person kissing the feet tries to pretend in his own mind he isn't kissing the feet. Winning again.

Carney stokes the man child’s fragile ego while not stating anything said by Regan in the offending fact based advert was wrong.   Job’s a good ‘un.

Thanks for confirming my point that Carney's apology was not about the factual basis of the ads.

And you got your history wrong. Henry agreed to rule as a Catholic as a way to settle the military stalemate with anti-Catholic forces. Your take on it obviously makes no sense given that he said "Paris is worth a mass." Obviously it means he got something in exchange for giving something.

You know what a Huguenot is right? St. Bartholomew's Day?

Wow. You know what a Medieval King was thinking. Glad thats how you interpret that. I, on yhe other hand,  like to think about guts torn from living people while they scream... thats sure worth a Mass.

Great example: loser king bowing.

Henry became King well after St. Bartholemew's day. For several years he ruled as a Protestant. He fought against his Catholic opponents in a war. Eventually the war was settled by Henry agreeing to become a Catholic in return for being recognized as king. Does that sound like he made a losing deal? And that's why he said "Paris is worth a Mass." He got what he wanted and fought for in exchange for becoming Catholic.

How principled. Abandoning the Protestants that looked to him for leadership and loyalty as they screamed their last breaths on pyres.

How Socialist. Ally today, enemy tomorrow, Power is all that counts.

So we agree that he wasn't threatened or subdued. He made a deal.

And apparently you are ignorant of the fact that  Protestants were very well treated by Henry after he became a Catholic. His tolerance is the reason that ultimately he was assassinated. Only after he was murdered were the Huguenots persecuted. Which is why they fled France for other predominantly Protestant countries.

You have to realize that every post Yagoda writes is just an opportunity for him to use the term "socialist".

It's his little "comfort word", a thumb to suck on.😆

Interesting choice of words from one who trolls under the guise of a sexual deviant

As an American, I'd like to apologize to all Canadians on behalf of our ridiculous grifter troll president.

You have nothing except this to offer in rebuttal. I don't know what country you got your education in, but in high school in America we learned about Henry of Navarre. This is standard history. But if you've got some contradictory evidence to offer, by all means, share it with us.

Says someone who's mongering in a 3rd world fleshpot.

The lack of self-awareness is, as always, staggering!🤣

You should try reading what you write sometimes. You'd be shocked.

You lost. Thats the easiest reponse. The US is still here, Trump is still president and you can spend the next 4 years gibbering about it.

It's just a taunt. Not surprising that it's your idea of a valid rebuttal.

Given your command of English, it's not surprising that you don't understand the difference between a rebuttal and a taunt.

It matters not. Everything you say is from the side of the loser. Your best bet would be to find some other Winner to chase around so you need not hear me continuously raise the 5 letters that define your political and philosophical existence.

Really? I have had no doubts about you.😆

And are you saying that the team "The LA Dodgers" weren't the winners? Apparently, they won it last year as well. Is this untrue?

Please let him believe he won this one, Alan. He's had a rough ride lately.😉
