November 5, 2025Nov 5 Good Afternoon, Firstly, I cannot find DIY forum so please move if needed. I have just had the water system installation completed. Two frp tanks, one with Anthracite, one with carbon. They are fed from the moo bahn system into a 2,000 litre tank. Even though I soaked the media for 48 hours, and did a backwash the water is still cloudy. My questions are, is it ok to have both backwash plumbed together as in the pic, and should I have ball valves fitted to isolate each tank. Finally, the backwash pipe runs to a road drain 30 metres away, should I maybe cut the pipes near the cylinders and fit funnels in order to better monitor the water coming out. Many thanks for any knowledge that you can share.

The water from the moo bahn is not great, but there is a spin down filter before the two cylinders, so they should manage the filtration ok. I just need to know if I am making a mistake with the backwash as the system stands.

He runs a water filter company named: H2O water systems.
