Dear Folks,

As you probably know, Leap 16, from openSUSE, was released about a month ago.

IMHO, there was far too little fanfare involved, and so you probably don’t know about this NEW THING.

Anyway, I had been a bit concerned, at the time, due to the fact that this is the first distribution from openSUSE which does NOT include YAST, something that we all thought was great.  And, YAST truly WAS great, and has been great, up to this point in time.

But now, we must move forward.

And, there are many valid reasons for kicking YAST under the bus, although I also wish to say that all the great work done on YAST was magnificent, too.

I have read on the net that some guys worry that, without YAST, Leap 16 might not be just as great as Leap 15.6…..

HOWEVER, this is defo NOT the case.

Because, LEAP 16 is truly just as magnificent as all other releases of Leap, and SUSE before those.

All I can tell you is that, after installing Leap-16, I find this newest version of SUSE OS….a godsend to me.

How is it even possible that so many great developers and contributors have created such a wonderful product for my use, for FREE….???

There are not many truly magnificent things in life, these days. But, LEAP 16 is one of the few.

Concerning the deprecation of YaST in openSUSE 16.0, I now can see that this was a well-thought-out and brilliant move.

From my perspective, there are no downsides to this change.

I am very happy using Leap 16.

At first, there might have been a few snags or glitches, but these were minor and very temporary.

Also, I am sure that many of these problems were solely due to my being an idiot, something well documented on TV.

So, gone is YaST, and now we can look forward to a better experience, given that more developers can devote their time to the ONE TRUE PATH…..

To say that I am happy, is a veritable understatement.

I will stick with SUSE until the day I die.

Our deep Thanks to all the guys who contributed to Leap 16….!!!

Their hard work improves the lives of people around the world, and I know this is true.

Best regards,

And, deep thanks, for sure to the SUSE guys,

GammaRays

Important Note:  All you smart guys who continually complain about Windows 9, 10, 11…12…etc….

Only village idiots repeat their mistakes and expect a different result….

Just sayin’.....

I am VERY happy with Leap 16.

I love it, in fact….BIG TIME….!!!!

Thanks to the guys at SUSE, I do not pay for a FANTASTIC OS.

===========

Just in case some OLD GUY on TV might want to install a FIRST-CLASS OS that does everything, at no cost to the user….

Then, here is the link to download LEAP-16….

Important Update:  I just cast caution to the winds, and decided to go WHOLE HOG on Leap 16 for ALL my computers....!!!!

The reason this update is important is because I want TV MEMBERS to understand one thing:

if I, the Fool of TV, can easily upgrade Leap 15.6 to Leap 16, at the drop of a hat, then you guys....CAN...TOO.

Speaking of me, the FOOL, and what I might know, or believe.....of course.....this old song immediately comes to mind:

I am just telling you guys.....

NO FOOL,here on TV, is too much a fool to be incapable of easily installing and happily using LEAP 16......

After 25 years of SUSE.....

I am just.....

SO HAPPY.....

My deepest thanks go out to all the geniuses who made this evening one of the best nights of my life.

I would even liken it to the time I lost my virginity, ....only.....

I really think that INSTALLING LEAP 16 tops my first foray into the folds of those lips between the thighs of my first GF....

Yes, when I look back upon the experience.....

Compared to that evening, lying naked with my GF, in her bedroom, while her parents slept peacefully in the room, adjacent,....

Upgrading all my computers to LEAP 16.....is....

Such a GREAT LEAP ..... forward......

Thanks to the guys that made this possible.....!!!!

All is working now, better than any girl could.......

I am thinking of running, for fun, Windows 11 Pro in a virtual machine, using Leap 16.

So, I found Windows 11 Pro for sale, on Amazon.

I can get delivery, Tuesday, November 18.

I can get a great price for Windows, if I order now....

The price for Windows Pro is only USD319.99.

This is the bargain-basement price.

Only 10 left in stock.

(But, they say that MORE are on the way....!!!)

So, should I buy this to run on my Leap-16.0 computer?

Seems like such a bargain, that I hardly know how to resist the offering.

What would YOU do?

There must be plenty of users lining up to get this deal.

Seems that they will physically ship this over to Thailand, too, maybe by cargo vessel.
