Police in Cha-am, Phetchaburi province, have arrested an Indian man suspected of brutally killing his eight-year-old stepson at their home in Hua Sai Tai community. The man, identified as Mr. Kanthoran Singh, aged 33, was taken into custody on suspicion of assaulting the boy, who was found dead with multiple injuries. The suspect has denied all charges.

The child’s body was discovered on 9 November inside the house he shared with Singh. Police responding to the scene found the boy lying motionless with foam around his mouth, bruising on his body and bloodstains on the bed. His body was sent to Phra Chom Klao Hospitalfor a detailed autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Doctors later concluded that the child had died from bleeding under the meninges, internal bleeding in the chest cavity, a ruptured stomach and multiple blunt-force injuries, indicating severe physical assault. These findings led investigators to suspect foul play rather than natural causes.

On 10 November, Pol Col Apirak Permchai, Superintendent of Cha-am Police Station, and Pol Lt Col Sunthorn Brahmsang, the lead investigator, convened a meeting with the investigative team to expedite the case. Evidence gathered during the inquiry strongly suggested Singh’s involvement, as he was the only adult present with the victim at the time of death.

Based on this evidence, police sought and obtained an arrest warrant from the Phetchaburi Provincial Court (Warrant No. 506/2568) on charges of causing death by assault. Singh was detained at the house where the incident occurred and later taken to Cha-am Police Station for further questioning.

During interrogation, Singh denied all allegations. However, investigators stated that the forensic evidence, including the autopsy findings and witness statements, would form the basis of the prosecution’s case. The suspect remains in police custody as authorities continue to collect additional evidence and prepare for court proceedings.

Key Takeaways

• An eight-year-old boy was found dead with severe internal injuries in Cha-am, Phetchaburi.

• His Indian stepfather, Mr. Kanthoran Singh, was arrested and charged but denies the accusations.

• Police are continuing their investigation pending legal proceedings in provincial court.

If they have enough evidence to convict. Then hang him high. To beat a child so badly as to rupture him inside is horrible and the man who did it should be sentenced to death.

In these circumstances I believe public stoning while held in stocks is called for.

The rest of his life in a Thai jail = he will wish he was dead.... - especially when others in jail with him, know why he is there - what do you think his chances of lasting more than a couple of years are ?

If he pleads guilty he will only get 10 years and less with good behavior, this is how stupid Thai law is.

This is what I would wish him:

Put him in with lifers. Given the ilfers a 12 pack of bottled beer and a steel rod.  You don't want to kill him youjust wnat them to take turns beating hnm up

Fo r those that donot understand teh bottles consider the shape of the bottle and normally anatomy

Had no idea that so many sadists live here on AN.

If guilty, he will get a jail sentence. If the murder was premeditated he may get the death penalty, but it looks like life is the best people can hope for.

If the Thai inmates find out what he is in there for, ten years will seem like a hundred.

A foreigner doing that to a child, a Thai child at that, will bring the same sort of criminal justice that would occur in most western prisons against child killers.  That is why such animals are usually segregated for their own protection.
