A fatal collision occurred on Sukhumvit Road, at around 12.45 on November 13, 2025, when a car struck a motorcycle, killing the rider instantly before coming to rest off the road. Police from Najomtien Station and rescue workers from the Sawang Rojan Thammasathan Foundation responded to the scene following the crash.

At the site, officers found an orange Nissan sedan, registration from Bangkok, perched atop a wall next to a roadside shop. Inside the vehicle was 32-year-old driver Ms. Kanlaya, who appeared shocked and suffered pain and bruises from the impact. About five metres away, on the footpath, lay the body of 47-year-old Mr. Porntep, who had sustained fatal head injuries after the collision.

Nearby, police located the victim’s Yamaha Fino motorcycle, registration from Rayong, beneath a parked pickup truck. The motorcycle was damaged, indicating the force of the impact. The crash took place outside The Will Village, in Najomtien subdistrict.

Investigating officers have not yet determined the exact cause of the crash. They plan to review CCTV footage from nearby locations and interview witnesses, as well as question the driver once her medical condition allows. Initial reports did not confirm whether speed, weather or other road conditions contributed to the collision.

The Najomtien Police Station has opened an official investigation to establish the circumstances leading to the fatal crash. SiamChon reported that authorities emphasised that findings from the camera footage and witness testimonies will be crucial in identifying responsibility. Legal action will proceed based on the results of the investigation once all evidence is verified.
