Think logically...why would they talk louder when your around just to attract your attention, your imaginations in this , your mind is telling you this ,they aren't 

 

Then you say they see you driving and start driving much worse around you because they see you ...I forget what they call that in psychology but I think people annoy you .....your an introvert

You are exactly the one of the ones I’m talking about since you have shown your defensiveness. You need to answer these questions for us. Why do you start talking loudly when you get near stranger farangs? Why do you drive weird when you see other carafes? Why are you so insecure that you have the desperation for recognition of stranger farangs? 

This one is easy to answer. 
Thailand is cheap, thus attracts cheap chaps. 
Thailand gives people a feeling of permisiveness, that they probably don't get back home. Here, everybody think they are superman. 
Also, for the first time in their lives, guys have options with women. That quickly goes to your head.
But overtime, you realize that you weren't the promised one and that you won't become the next king of Thailand. 
So people stay here; stuck in limbo : they can't really go back home, and don't really want to stay in Thailand, but that's the only place that tolerates them and where they can still get laid past the age of 50.

I wouldn't wear the crappiest Chang singlet.

But some of them have a nice design of an elephant or Buddha symbol.

Or get a more expensive one from the Central mall. But I don't want to collect 2000 Baht singlets because then I have to worry about them getting stolen in my apartment. Screw it. I might buy a couple of designer t-shirts at some point. I saw one japanese designer t-shirt I liked. But not too many as they can get stolen. 

 

Bangkok is in "work" mode. It's a place for work and studying mostly. Normal life.

Other places are in vacation or retirement mode. 

So people dress differently. 

Obviously, the singlets might look way more out of place in Bangkok, but there's a reason they are sold everywhere in the tourist zones. People are getting away from work and don't need to dress formal anymore.
