European Travel With Uk Indefinite Leave To Remain Visa

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone know if a Thai national with an Indefinite Leave to Remain visa for the UK still needs to apply for visas for travel to the European mainland?

Thanks

Yes she does.

Even for the Republic of Ireland she will need a visa.

If married to British citizen then no charge for the european visa, just show marriage certificate.

I think that the one exception is the Spanish embassy..they make you pay unless you have registered your marriage at the haigh (or something like that) convension. they are the worst embassy to deal with. There are threads on this somewhere. Go in through another country.

Spanish Visa

A previous post by Oldfield suggests you have to pay 3120b for a visa, not quite clear what this payment is for, admin purposes or for the visa only.

Post 43 by Oldfield, make of the thread what you will.
