Not really IT but tv

Featured Replies

I have solved the problem but this may help others; I tried using the remote to turn on the TV and the hidden button, no go, then I unplugged it,  reconnected it, used the hidden button again and hey presto it now works using the remote :clap2:do you think being in a cold room could have affected it ??

Perhaps, if you live near one of the poles.  Otherwise NO.

On second thoughts the Tv ( like me) might have been in a 'confused' state  unplugging then re power   did a hard reset/reboot  then things worked.

Also with remotes I often find that taking the battery cover off  then

rotating the batteries  without taking them out of the holder..just spinning them a couple of times while still in situ  often gets the remote to work.

Yes I tried that with the batteries even took out ones from a different remote that worked.

A cold room can be rather subjective I find.
