‘A massacre in slow motion’

Featured Replies

Even as Israel’s bombardment has slowed during the ceasefire, its severe restrictions on humanitarian assistance means famine will keep killing Palestinians, an analyst warns.

Alex de Waal has spent more than 40 years studying famine and war crimes. He spoke to AJ+ about how Israel purposely kept Gaza on the edge of famine for months on end.

Israel’s starvation will be felt by Palestinians for generations – physically, biologically and societally, de Waal said.

How dare you?

It is not his mistake that you fail to understand the new moral compass:

If a strong person publicly beats a much weaker person into coma, he is not to blame. The only one to blame is the also weak bystander, who did not dare to help.

What are you demanding next?

That a man who saw a beautiful woman in a park and raped her is to blame for that?

Unbelievable.

Everybody knows that it is clearly her fault. She chose to walk in that park and made the poor guy rape her.

Have you no mercy with the real victim?

🤣

So you are denying Israel is holding back aid.

Whatever your agenda, you're simply simple.

Do you really think the starvation is caused by Arab countries?

I would imagine the starvation is caused by poverty.

It's not as if farmers grow stuff to give away.

Aid was restricted because Hamas kept stealing the aid and selling it .

That is how Hamas make their money and pay their terrorists wages .

The so called "starvation ' is just  Palestinian scheme to get the aid back into Hamsas hands

Not in this case.

Before the conflict, Gaza was a thriving agricultural hub, where farmers and ordinary Palestinians cultivated a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains for local consumption.

Israel has targeted food sources – orchards, greenhouses, farmland and fishers – since the beginning of its siege on Gaza in October 2023.

Israel’s destruction of Gaza has left starving Palestinians with access to only 1.5% of cropland that is accessible and suitable for cultivation, according to new figures from the UN.

In this case it is made by Israel, the only democracy in the middle east.

Obviously, it has escaped your attention that this was just an Israeli lie and has been debunked some time ago.

But that is understandable as due to the enormous amount of Israeli lies it is difficult to keep track

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/25/politics/us-government-review-no-evidence-widespread-theft-gaza-aid

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/usaid-analysis-found-no-evidence-massive-hamas-theft-gaza-aid-2025-07-25/

But let us do some thinking:

let's say this is true and Hamas is stealing aid and selling it to the Palestinians for ridiculous prices to pay their terrorist wages.

Wouldn't it be much smarter to flood the place with aid?

Who in his right mind would want to buy overpriced food or medicine when he can get it for free?

By restricting aid you just help Hamas to raise the prices. That does not make any sense.

But what do I know?

Until today I fail to understand how you want to save the life of hostages by bombing the buildings where they might be kept.

I'm probably not as smart as the Israelis are.

That's because it was never about the hostages. It's about taking Gaza and the West Bank.

No, the war is about removing Hamas from power , that is what its about

    Its quite simple .

There is no starvation .

Israel are holding back aid because Hamas keep stealing it ,

Here is Hamas stealing the aid

Do you actually realize that you are contradicting yourself?

"There is no starvation - Israel are holding back aid, because ......"

Why else is Israel holding aid back? To keep Hamas fit and healthy?

Tell me, what happens if you hold back 1. medicine and 2. food?

1. Some people, most likely the weakest, will not get the needed medication, like those 4000 child amputees made by Israel, with many of them had their limbs removed without anesthesia.

2. Some people, most likely the weakest, will get no food, like those children and starve.

Starvation is both a war crime and a crime against humanity, and may also be an act of genocide under modern international criminal law.

War Crime: Starvation is a war crime if it's committed during an armed conflict and targets a civilian population.

Crime Against Humanity: The use of starvation as a weapon against civilians, whether in a time of armed conflict or not, is considered a crime against humanity.

Genocide: Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part is also considered genocide

Here you go. Your country hit a trifecta.

And just in case you didn`t notice: NONE of these definitions end with a "but" or "except".

Meaning no matter for what reason a crime is committed, it will remain a crime.

So whatever reason you may present, there is no justification!

But you keep defending it.

Thanks for admitting it.

I, and others, have on a number of occasions corrected you on this misinformation and provided links to credible reports debunking your claim.

That you continue to post those debunked claims despite having been presented with evidence that they are baseless suggests an intention to deliberately disseminate untruths.

There’s a word for that.

I've posted actual videos of Hamas stealing the aid .

Al-Jazerra links saying they don't steal the aid doesn't over rule the actual videos
