How many kilos could you stand to lose?

Featured Replies

That is extremely low but iyt is possible.

I think you are lower than 18 % already ,why do you want to do this?

Competition coming on?

As described a few posts below, I got  97cm waist after bulking up 10kg last year and had a blast with food and gaining strength.

Have alot of clothes that fits better below 94cm, and my suits pants doesn't fit anymore. Hate to buy new suits wasting money 😉

And my body feels lighter and better and I thrive being disciplined having a goel to chase.

As everyone else, I can be extremely lazy when I allow myself, and with laziness comes unhealthy habits on a string of a line with threat's.

And I want my 6 pack back once more . A few years since last time now.

To many positive reasons why, and honestly after 35years it have become an addictive lifestyle.

  • I'll be 92 in a couple of weeks. 80 kilos. Eat what I like in moderation. No meds. Just lucky, maybe.

  • Good for you. We're glad to here that. You'll probably get snuffed crossing the road while looking in a mirror and patting your self on the back instead.

  • How many kilos could you stand to lose? About 55 kg would be great. She's from Isarn, with a quick wit and a sharp mouth. Any takers, please DM 🙄

Just great!

A serious topic and you have to go insult/attack some one.

Does that make you feel better?

Are you fat/jealous and feel the need to insult?

Sad.

Limbs naturally shrink and lose muscle with age, and many people end up losing weight rather than gaining it even when they are eating normally. At your stage in life a little extra weight can actually be helpful because it supports strength and provides energy reserves, while being underweight can point to frailty and make recovery from illness more difficult. If you want to gain a bit of weight, adding some extra calorie dense foods like peanut butter can have a profound effect.

It is more beneficial to add an extra meal before bedtime.

Maybe a protein shake or so will help already.

My BMI is in the healthy range, it's a good guide along with the usual blood tests

Absolutely true. Also the extreme bulking, dieting, and water depletion necessary for pre competition is all very unhealthy.

They do the same now if not worse. The number of top professional bodybuilders who have died in the last five years makes it feel like the numbers are actually increasing. Cedric McMillan, Shawn Rhoden, George Peterson, Dallas McCarver, John Meadows, and Rich Piana (RIP) to name a few...

Bodybuilding as a sport for competition is unhealthy, as well all wannabes who wants to be extremely large who also get eating disorders.

Take to much of everything available be it steroids, peptides, growth hormones, protein powder, vitamins ,,,,,,

I agree, not a bad idea too. It can be a protein shake or any other useful types of calories. Quality fats are good too.

Yep, agree. 👍🏼

It's not even a sport. It's a beauty pageant and the prep, it's all completely unhealthy.

Compared to Cheech and Chong who been using the Lords lettuce and still growing strong.

Yeh, Cheech Marin is 79, and Tommy Chong is 87. First heard them when I was working for US Military in Germany around 1972.

Taught me all I need to know about cannabis.

Still there is many from the 70, 80 and 90ies who still going strong and still shows good form and health.

Most people after 50 experience some kind of health problems because of lifestyle problems. People who have lived completely normal lives as anyone else around the block.

On my blood test results from the local University Hospital, it does not mention my BMI. Maybe the maths is too difficult for Windows 8 ! 555

Easy enough to work it out, assuming the scales you use are correctly calibrated.

Some still look healthy, some don't. Dorian Yates is one of the few that came out ahead. Dexter Jackson still looks really good. But Ronnie Coleman is a wheel chair. He's only 61. Flex Wheeler had to have half of one of his legs amputated.

But some of them refuse to bring down their weight, despite being 40s and 50s in age and I wonder in 10 years from now what kind of condition they will be in. Roelly Winklar, Kai Greene, Mike Ohearn, Lee Preist, Jay Cutler could all stand to drop 50 pounds or more.

Even guys like Dave Bautista and The Rock recently dropped a lot of weight because they were concerned about the dangers of the weight of all that muscle.

Got down from 90kg to 74kg........diet and exercise......had a big cancer scare, which came to nothing, but knocked me sideways.

Back up to 82kg, but 'intend' to get back into an exercise routine any day now, aiming for 74kg.

Well, some is addicted to food and drinks, so it is all human whatever people choose to do.

My plan is to set myself up for a weight and condition I can easily maintain the older I get without complications, or to much complications. Also a form I can retrieve if Im getting temporary sick. The good thing, muscle memory is not a myth, and even we get older, getting back to a good form, doesnt take to much effort, it is the last few kg that gets harder by the years.

All the hard work I did in my 20ies, benefits me know.

If you want to lose weight a fasting diet is much better and faster.

Calories you don't eat you won't have to burn.

Bodybuilders are overweight, they are not unhealthy

A lot of bodybuilders die young.

Steroids might have sth to do with it.

But they don't all have healthy diets. That's part of it.

They don't show BMI probably because it's easy to work out, good idea, maybe they should

They use a calculator to take 20 Bht from 100, so definitely need for BMI.

Ooh, that’s cold lol.
Bar the obvious—keeping fit, watching alcohol etc—surest way is to give up majorly of carbs and fast sometimes esp when sick. All the obvious. But carbs and refined sugar are demons.

Fasting for 72 hours does wonders for your waist line!

Eh, no, but thank you 😉

I have my diet, and I will reach my goal without any struggle. Whole clean food is plenty when you are not cheating and triggering your cravings. Had a pizza yesterday, and today I have felt cravings and also my tummy popped out and I feel lazy. That's how it is when you have turned in your diet to be 100%

Same if I take one drink, I feel it the day after, and if I get drunk on a Saturday, Wednesday I'm 100% again
