How are you going to remember which lady boy it was?

18 hours ago, mordothailand said:

as far as i know, you have to ask permission first, from the person you want to film

Trouble is, the ladyboy will demand a fee such as 1,000 Bah and then discuss royalties. Then say, " lets discuss this further at your motel and I can add extras". Plus leaves the motel after taking cash and necklaces. In short it's going to be a real headache!

There are cameras recording us everywhere nowadays. Even here in Thailand, so I don't think filming in public itself is illegal. though Thailand may have some specific privacy / data protection laws this guy s breaking.

If I were him, I would be more worried if a crowd of said ladyboys actually catch him in the act of recording them. High heels at dawn looks quite painful when they are swinging them at someone's head.

Anyone can be the one who is going viral no matter where you are, and can be linked to something you are not, or doing anything else than walking with your wife or gf.

Just appeared in my feed now. Could it be because I commented here in this thread?

Ever heard of anyone being arrested for it?

I'll give a short answer, "No".

I  would never get involved because a) I'm not gay. b) They are trash.

Maybe a better idea to stay in your room if you don't want people to take Photos of you rather than stand outside a Soi of ill repute

Yari Grech, follow him on YouTube where he documents his life and a complete and utter loser.

"It's not me that losers are targeting for their pathetic YoutTube content, so why should I care".

Seems to be the standard attitude.

that's not the point,  Personal Data Protection Act, B.E. 2562 section 397, quoting directly: “Whoever in a public place or before the public, does by any means whatever to annoy or intimidate another person or causes the other person to be ashamed or troubled, shall be punished with imprisonment not exceeding one month or fined not exceeding 5,000 baht or both.

Deep comment! I'll let the audience try to figure that one out.

unbelievable: LB want to be popular, but don't want to be filmed... it is a contradiction///

The last thing these ladies need is for someone to go up to them secretly record them, engaging in private talk about prostitution, and then post it online for the world to see. Even just ethically it's a really craapy thing to do. Those women have lives too, parents, family members. They may well be vulnerable down trodden but you have no rite to take the biscuit of them or mock them like this.

Thailand has been at 100 percent employment (aside from covid) for the 20 years I've been coming here.  The hookers are addicted to easy money, somtam with their friends after they roll out of bed at 1pm, and pe-nises.  Equally true for the transsexuals who are neither ladies nor boys, they're full grown homosexual men in women's clothes.

It’s time these jerkoffs who please their own self gratification, and try to profit from, filming sexy women or ladyboys when they’re working learn the facts:

In Thailand, there is no absolute right to film in public; commercial and foreign productions require a permit from the Thailand Film Office, while personal, non-commercial filming is generally allowed but must not infringe on individuals' privacy

It is illegal to film people without their consent, which can lead to criminal penalties, especially when they are clearly identifiable or their image is used for commercial purposes.

I witnessed a farang in Patpong loitering around the stage where girls were dancing and it became evident he was filming them secretly. His camera was smashed and he was given a good beating as he was dragged out the back door. I’d like to see this happen to many more of these khunts.

See we're back to calling them "ladyboys" again, instead of "transgender persons". Another "turnaround" in LOS - are they trying to copy Trump and Starmer?

Rubbish!

The LB's and the ladies should be arrested for loitering with intent....:cheesy:

Really?   You'll be able to post a link to where some Thai authority declared that "there is no prostitution in Thailand", then, won't you?

What's the harm in just being nice and respectful ?

If its a public place, why do content creators need permission? Does she/he complain about the CCTV cameras everywhere on the roads, shopping malls, bars, restaurants, if you don't want to be on camera,  stay in your room.

These guys are using those camera glasses now, harder to spot

I thought the Meta glasses have a flashing light, but maybe some of the Chinese models don't have that.  The meta glasses are pretty recognizable.  I would almost thing same is true for Chinese versions, but not sure.

What's your interest in someone filming?

Anyone posting videos of strangers online without their consent needs to get punched in the face, especially when it comes to sensitive areas like nightlife and prostitution. One of these YouTube <deleted> posted a video of him partying with my friend. Aside from being unethical it is actually illegal - filming videos you're going to monetize later is working without a work permit. all those YouTubers should be deported.

The new anti-visa run rules might help with that. These guys are usually too young to be on retirement visa, too poor to be on Elite, and too stupid to be on DTV.
