Sen. Mark Kelly faces Pentagon investigation for making video on refusing ‘unlawful orders’

The Pentagon on Monday said that it was reviewing what it called “serious allegations of misconduct against” Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona for making a video with five other Democratic lawmakers that urged members of the military to refuse to follow unlawful orders...

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in a statement on X announcing the probe of Kelly, who is a retired U.S. Navy captain, said, “The video made by the ‘Seditious Six’ was despicable, reckless, and false.”..

The Pentagon, in its statement Monday, said “The Department of War reminds all individuals that military retirees remain subject to the UCMJ for applicable offenses, and federal laws such as 18 U.S.C. § 2387 prohibit actions intended to interfere with the loyalty, morale, or good order and discipline of the armed forces,” the post.

Another case that should be laughed out of court. But given the havoc that Hegseth has unleashed on the military justice system, it will probably drag on longer than it should. Hegseth has made a point of ridding the military of principled members of JAG.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt clarified Thursday that Trump does not, in fact, want members of Congress put to death.

 

But she otherwise stood by the idea that these members were acting dangerously and undermining the commander in chief. She said the members were urging members of the military to “defy the chain of command.”

 

“They are literally saying to 1.3 million active-duty servicemembers to defy the chain of command – not to follow lawful orders,” Leavitt said.

 

But that is not what they were literally saying.

 

 

So if all is OK, Trump won't need to pardon anyone involved in the supposed drug boat killings.  I'm not sure Pam Bondi's DOJ opinions will have any sway in any Military Court Marshal that may occur from said killings.

I predict this vaults Kelly to a prominent position in the 2028 presidential election. Backfire on the MAGA idiots much?
