Police in Khon Kaen conducted coordinated raids on two popular nightlife venues, arresting 23 partygoers and seizing methamphetamine, ice and ecstasy. The operations took place in the early hours of 29 November 2025 at Bubble Bar, 141 Prachasamran Road, and Wine Bla Bar, 919 Ruenrom Road, following reports of extended opening hours and drug use.

At Bubble Bar, authorities arrested eight individuals for methamphetamine use, including seven men and one woman, and one person for possession, seizing two bags of meth weighing a total of 2 grams. At Wine Bla Bar, 15 partygoers were detained for methamphetamine use in karaoke rooms 4 and 7, and police also confiscated meth (2 grams), ice (2 grams) and one ecstasy pill.

The managers of both establishments were taken into custody for operating beyond legal hours, selling alcohol beyond permitted times and allowing illegal drug activity on the premises. Police confirmed the raids were part of ongoing efforts to monitor nightlife venues suspected of drug-related offences in Khon Kaen city.

Police Major General Phumiphat Phatrsriwongchai stated that his team had been observing several city venues for law violations before identifying Bubble Bar and Wine Bla Bar as suspects. The arrested individuals and confiscated drugs were handed to Mueang Khon Kaen Police Station for prosecution.

Daily News reported that authorities emphasised that the crackdown aims to prevent further illegal drug use and enforce licensing laws within nightlife venues. Ongoing monitoring is expected to target additional locations in the province.
