Two teenagers, aged 17 and 19, were fatally shot on a village road near a local monastery in Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao, on the evening of 29 November 2025. Residents reported hearing an argument lasting around ten minutes, followed by multiple gunshots, leaving the community in shock. Police have arrested two suspects, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, in connection with the killings.

Police officers, led by Pol Col Phisitthach Nakchaiwatthana, Chief of Phanom Sarakham Police Station, traced the suspects after reviewing CCTV footage and gathering witness accounts. The suspects allegedly used a black-and-yellow Honda Wave motorcycle to approach the victims and flee the scene. The teenage gunman admitted to firing the shots, citing personal anger as the motive for the attack.

The victims, Konnawat, 19, and Tantikorn, 17, were found dead by the roadside with gunshot wounds. Police secured the crime scene and collected ballistic evidence, including spent casings, while forensic teams examined the bodies and prepared them for autopsy. Local residents recounted the chaotic moments, including the sound of at least ten bullets being fired.

Authorities confirmed that the suspects have been detained and are being questioned at Phanom Sarakham Police Station. The investigation is ongoing to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident and whether any accomplices were involved. Police emphasised their commitment to ensuring justice for the victims and maintaining community safety.

Khoasod reported that the case has raised concerns over youth violence and access to firearms in rural areas. Officials are reviewing broader security measures and urging locals to provide any additional information that may assist in the investigation.

Where are these kids getting so many guns.. It seems like every week there is a shooting. I thought guns were illegal in Thailand but i guess that only means illegal to openly sell with permits to use them.

It's the first thing they learn in technical college, how to make a gun. Quite impressive, really.
