Picking a good Masseuse

In Pattaya, most massage shops feel like they’ll hire anyone who wanders in off the street, and the results show — half of them barely know the basics, let alone real Thai massage technique. You can go through ten shops and still end up with someone poking randomly like they learned their craft from a YouTube clip yesterday.

Every so often you stumble across an older, genuinely skilled masseuse who actually knows what she’s doing — and of course, those are the ones who vanish after a few months because everyone with sense starts booking them nonstop.

So what’s the actual strategy for finding a real, competent, traditional Thai massage in this sea of amateurs?

If you want a proper massage where they don't offer sexual services, you have to go to a place like Health Land Spa in North Pattaya. Prices start at around 1000 baht. There are quite a few places like this in Pattaya, where only well-trained staff work. For a cheaper alternative, you could try the Paragon Thai Massage on Thepprasit Road, in front of the Colosseum. There's no hanky-panky going on there (you'll even have to wear a robe), and the prices are just a bit higher than the typical Pattaya massage shop.

What would you expect from a 300 baht, 1-hour massage? You can be lucky and find a good one, but don't expect one.

I reckon you are too fuusy.    A few years ago, I was working offshore Vung Tau. My employer had us guys working on the rig undertake a 3 day safety course, at a local hotel.

  • I thought it was well known that most of the massage shops in Pattaya are not really massage shops nudge nudge wink wink. For proper massage perhaps try the blind massage institute

Forget about 300 BVaht.

For years I have used the (straight) services of Piromrat massage on soi Buakhao opposite Pattaya City hospital.

150 Baht ...... decent foot and leg massage.

The average price for a foot massage anywhere is 200 baht. I'm referring to a full-body massage with oil. Thai massages are usually cheaper.

For a legit, expert massage, Poo Na.... Soi Buakhao, just inside from Pattaya Klang.

I  like the Full Experience, it takes time to procure . If one finds someone with half way decent skills regular visits can be all inclusive.

I pay 200 for Thai massage and 300 Baht for oil.

Tip 50 Baht, 500 Baht for a happy ending and 1,000 Baht if a shag is involved.

classy

The same foot massage on Buakhao can cost 100-300 baht, no difference at all except the 100 baht shop will be happy with a 50 baht tip

OK, after my massage from my new girlfriend, I went for a ride around Pattaya.

It was 1pm. Through walking street, Marine plaza and down the all the back, quiet Alleys.

Look what I found, I won't say which AN member he is but good news.

He's coming to the AN Christmas party.

I hope the AN Christmas party venue has an area we take a nap

He'll fit right in 😎
