I live in Pathum Thani, about a year ago they completely repaved the street and made a fantastically long drag strip out of it between the hours of 8pm to 5am. Since that time over a hundred cats and dogs have been killed or maimed by these drag races, racing their mopeds or mini trucks up and down the street.  In recent months these same drag racers have been emboldened to race up and down the street in broad day light while kids are out playing or other people (no side walks) are walking.  It is just a simple matter of time before someone get run down. Or one of these idiots looses control and runs into a building. 

My question is, who can I contact to request speed bumps be installed onto the street?  What do I need to prepare to make the case for these bumps to be put in?  I am not very articulate person and not very good at speaking I also can not speak Thai but fortunately my wife and daughters are fluent in Thai. 

Any help or information leading me in the right direction is much appreciated.

Speed bumps needed

A THAI person can contact the amphur for that district. They will know what procedures should be followed.

 

Dont hold your breath

The mooban’s puyaban needs to lobby the tambon and/or amphoe for speed bumps, so your wife along with some neighbors needs to lobby the puyaban to get things rolling.

If it stops the animals around here from being maimed or killed by reckless idiots, then i don't mind being the Grinch.
