Actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, have died, a spokesperson for the family said. “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss,” a statement said.

• Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are at Reiner’s home and investigating an apparent homicide.

• A family member of Reiner’s went to the house today and discovered two people dead, according to a law enforcement source.

• Reiner’s work included “The Princess Bride” and “A Few Good Men.” His breakout role was as Archie Bunker’s son-in-law on TV’s “All in the Family.”

This makes me sad to hear about this. A double homicide in Brentwood CA is very rate. The last double homicide was back in 1994.  To me he always be remembered as "Meathead" as only Archie could say it.  RIP.

US press is pointing at his son, who has struggled with homelessness and drug addiction.

I'm still waiting to see his pronouns.  The press is mum on that issue so far.
