A senior police officer has been found dead in a hotel room in central Chaiyaphum, sparking shock within the local police force and prompting an official investigation. Police Colonel Somchai Sophonpanyaporn, Deputy Commander of Chaiyaphum Provincial Police, was discovered lying deceased beside his bed in a well-known hotel in the city centre.
