Garuda

Featured Replies

The Garuda in the King's symbol because he is an incarnation of Vishnu & Vishnu's vehicle. That's why you see a Garuda on banks.

I'd like to buy a Garuda. One from a failed bank, an antique or referral to a maker of said Garudas.

Any leads, folks?

A variation at an amulet shop, or just get yourself a tattoo so you don’t lose it. Though reproducing the official Royal Garuda may lead to legal issues.

Ebay. Many people wonder why they bought their tie stuff and will sell it for what it cost way back when.

there’s an elaborate wood carving store in the old city of Chiang Mai. That has some truly great ones. Worth the Google.

Thx. Can you send me the name of the wood-carver in C-M, please. Link, maybe.

There is wood carving village that you can Google.

If they don’t have what you want, you can commission it, for at least 50% off of the store price. It’s a great place to spend a couple of hours anyway if you love Thai craft.

The tradition of carving the old things is dying, so you are doing God‘s work by giving them some money to stagger on.

If you are going to Cambodia, near Siem reap has carvers that work even cheaper.

But the quality in Chiang Mai will be much higher
