A man was prevented from boarding his flight to Singapore after making a bomb joke at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. He jokingly claimed to have a bomb during security screening, prompting immediate action from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP).

The PNP-AVSEGROUP quickly inspected his luggage and confirmed there was no explosive. Despite the man's clarification that it was a joke, the NAIA authorities and airline decided to offload him from the flight and place him on a blocklist for future travels.

While the airline opted not to file legal charges, the PNP-AVSEGROUP emphasized the seriousness of airport security, urging the public to refrain from making such jokes. They reiterated the importance of maintaining safety in all airports across the country, reported Balita.
