Two Thai navy officers are facing an investigation after a nightclub brawl in Ubon Ratchathani, where they reportedly assaulted others and performed illegal searches. The officers, Petty Officer First Class Kittichot Klabsri and Petty Officer First Class Kraisorn Kaewphrom, were off-duty at the time of the incident in Khong Chiam district. This altercation involved local youths and has led to disciplinary actions by the Royal Thai Navy.

Royal Thai Navy spokesperson, Lieutenant Commander Priyada Buasombun, confirmed the incident and highlighted that it was a personal matter not linked to the officers' professional duties. She stressed that the conduct violated military standards, legal protocols, and the internal disciplinary codes of the navy, potentially eroding public trust. The navy has since ordered the return of both officers to their posts where a formal investigation is underway.

Khaosod reported that disciplinary and legal proceedings are currently in progress, with the navy affirming its commitment to holding personnel accountable. Strict penalties will be imposed under both legal and military frameworks if the misconduct allegations are confirmed. This incident underscores the navy's dedication to maintaining discipline and integrity within its ranks.

In an unrelated incident, a street fight in Pattaya between foreign tourists turned violent, injuring several people, including a pregnant woman. The conflict, involving European and Arab men, started after a minor motorcycle accident near South Pattaya Road. Bystanders attempted to intervene before police arrived, but the pregnant woman was hurt during the chaos and required hospital treatment.

Authorities in Pattaya are examining CCTV and bystander footage to ascertain the event's details and identify responsible parties. This situation highlights ongoing concerns about tourist safety and conduct in popular nightlife areas, reported The Thaiger.
