A late-night indecent exposure incident left two young workers distressed after a man on a motorcycle exposed himself outside a nightlife venue in Udon Thani, prompting calls for police action amid fears of repeat offences. The incident occurred outside Soulmate KTV & Lounge and caused alarm among staff working at the venue.

The event was reported at about 21:05 on 4 January, according to a report filed on Monday, 5 January, at 10:54. The location was Soulmate KTV & Lounge on Phon Phisai Road in Mak Khaeng subdistrict, Mueang district, Udon Thani, near the Ban Lao intersection.

Police and reporters who attended the scene found two victims, identified as “Ai” and “Film”, both aged 20. Both women work as PR staff at the venue and were described as being visibly shaken following the incident. The two women said they were sitting in front of the venue when a man rode a motorcycle and parked near the shop sign. At first, they thought he might be meeting someone, picking up a passenger, or delivering goods.

They said the man then rode around the area several times before returning to the same spot. He allegedly exposed his genitals and performed a sexual act in front of them without regard for people nearby. One of the women used her mobile phone to take a photograph. The suspect then fled the scene rapidly on his motorcycle.

The women reported that the man was wearing a long hooded top and no trousers, making his lower body clearly visible. They said both screamed in shock and stated it was the first time in their lives they had encountered such an incident. After the incident, the women questioned how the man could behave in such a way in public and described the act as deeply offensive. They also made joking remarks while recounting the event, despite their distress.

They warned residents in Udon Thani to be cautious, noting that similar incidents had been reported recently. According to the victims, a comparable case occurred at a petrol station during the New Year period, followed days later by another report involving PR staff. Naewna reported the women urged police to identify and arrest the suspect, expressing concern that he could offend again. They said such incidents pose a serious danger to women.
