A garland stall in Roi Et, Thailand, was revealed as a front for a methamphetamine business after police arrested the seller. On January 6, Santi, a 55-year-old local, was detained with over 100 meth tablets, a motorised tricycle, and flower garlands. The arrest followed police surveillance, which uncovered his alleged drug distribution camouflaged by his roadside flower-selling.

Officers noted that Santi had been targeting teenagers and truck drivers, operating discreetly among other vendors. The suspect attempted to flee when approached by police but was quickly caught. During interrogation, Santi admitted to buying meth for 2,000 baht and reselling it at 50 baht per tablet, believing the garland stall would avoid police suspicion.

Authorities confiscated the meth tablets and tricycle as evidence. The tricycle was then used to transport Santi and officers back to the station. Legal proceedings are underway as Santi remains in custody.

In a separate incident in Roi Et, a Thai woman nearly lost her hand after a radio exploded in a rice field hut. Similar occurrences have been noted in Lop Buri province, raising safety concerns, reported The Thaiger.
