The way Netanyahu has prosecuted the war in Gaza, in order to save not only his political future, but also to avoid going to prison on corruption charges, has poured fuel on the antisemitism fire all around the world.

They hate ALL Jews because of 1 Jews actions ?

You hate 15 million Jews because of 1 Mans actions ?

  • I expect these Muslims are Thai citizens. I'm amazed these Israeli backpackers are allowed to have a community like they do. In my experience, they have just finished their national service in the IDF

That looks utterly disgusting. My idea of hell.

Good they're shutting it down.

Who said that ?

Who stated that ?

Its more often that people make extreme Anti semitic posts , saying they hate Jews , after it being pointed out that thats an anti Semitic things to say , they then reply with "Cannot even criticise the Israeli Government without someone calling you Anti semitic" .

Happens frequently

From the linked article:

““I think the locals themselves began to feel threatened by all this campaign that was created around us and against us, and naturally, that caused us to lose support. We don’t blame them.

We will create something together, a project against this thing — antisemitism — so that these organizations understand that if they try to eliminate us, then we will grow fourfold, because we also have backing, we are united. We stand together,” Keizman said.

Pai has a long established Muslim community, maybe they have a different view to that of Keizman.

Just had a Thai friend come back from Pai and he told me he doesn't like it any more. Too many Farang now.

Pai is losing all its charm due to the hordes of Israelis there now.

I never said I hate anyone.

I am critical of Netanyahu, particularly the way he has prosecuted the war in Gaza.

Prior to the war in Gaza, can you remember any pro Palestinian protests in the west?

Netanyahu, and his government, has caused protests like this. Rather than gain support, he's alienated Israeli's. and set back Jewry decades.

They are all military trained, so not very smart of them to all be in one place.

Mainstream western media.

Well, that's not me.

I couldn't give a rats what religion someone follows.

However, with over 70,000 dead, in an area that's around 20km x 40km, with two thirds of them being women and children, well, it's a little difficult for most people in the world to be pro Israeli.

Nothing new though. We saw similar in The Vietnam War. People just had enough of the atrocities.

Rubbish.

Mainstream western media shuts down any discussion that is critical of Israel's foreign policy because it might be viewed as anti semetic.

TV and film industry letter accuses BBC of antisemitism

The letter says the BBC should be "worried they might have a serious, institutional racism problem".

"More than 200 people from the TV and film industry have signed a letter to the BBC board calling for an urgent investigation into what it called "systemic problems of antisemitism and bias" at the corporation."

BBC.

Gary Lineker sacked.

Can you post some links where honest western media debate has been allowed in relation to the war in Gaza?

Gary Lineker to leave BBC sooner than planned after antis...

He will no longer present the corporation's future coverage of the FA Cup and World Cup as planned.

Hamas and other muslim extremist groups are hard core vile terrorists - no doubt. They do not deserve any mercy as they are even harming their own in Gaza with all the politically backed criminal gangs who are depriving the weak of their share of daily rations.

But is Israel any better with all the war crimes committed ? Even retaliation in war has rules that go under the Geneva Conventions. Is Israel respecting the rules of engagement ? We all know the answer here.

And to push it further, some also say that the top most ruling levels in Israel and Hamas can tend to work hand in hand to plot and plan outcomes, that serve the interests on both sides at the top most levels. What better then a good long lasting war for any political ruler who is on the bench of being charged by his law or being ousted from office ?

Nonsense. Muslims here are completely integrated into Thai society. Thai first, Muslim second. No reason to smear them.

I'm not sure of that. Why are they Muslims and not buddhist? Is it because they're of a different ethnicity entirely and they never integrated?

My personal observation is that the Muslims in Thailand are of a different race and foreign to Thai people.

No, of course not.

However, I do support a two state solution, because for decades I am tired of seeing the same old BS in the region, with the UN doing nothing to create a long term solution.

Gaza is now a concentration camp for Palestinians.

Israel funded Hamas for many years. Fact.

I was in Pai visiting my uncle on the 1st and 2nd. Saw lots of small hats but also the typical hippy farang. That time of year Bangkok Thai's with family are visiting also which helps to balance it out. Many of the Thai people there are carpetbaggesr from other parts of the country cosplaying. It's really a mess of place.

That minds me a couple days ago he wife sent me this. Typical libtard Pai tourist robbed this shop and now they're trying to track them down.

That's a relief to hear, though I wonder if Pai will ever regain its old charm.

When even Thais now bemoan the loss of Pai, it's got to be a problem.

Thanks for the update on it.

So I live in the north but we do have Muslims here. 99% of the time I see them they are selling rotes which is notable. Many look some degree Indian, I think they are from Myanmar. There is a Muslim community in Pai also which are more Asian looking but still stand out to me.

They must be coming from over the border since there's always lots of migrant workers from Myanmar and they connect near India.

My best guess is these are people coming from Bangladesh and crossing through Myanmar then Thailand. They are not Thai, not by culture, religion or race. Muslims in the south of course will have an entirely different story and I can't speak in to that.

So, just to clarify, are you stating the Muslims you observe in Thailand are illegal immigrants. Is that correct?

I've never been south of Phuket in the real south so I don't know about those people. In the north they have a special category for them and in fact Chiang Mai immigration even has an entire section for there Myanmar workers. I'm guessing they're like us but they're allowed to work.

I live near many of them who work the fields in the mountains and they often don't even appear to speak Thai except for the kids.

The Muslims must be slipping in with that group but they're a minority of a minority. It's a really broad topic and I only know what I observe as an outsider.

Have you observed the minority of the minority causing any problems?

The Muslims down there are Malaysians right? Thailand's border crosses over between different ethnic groups. It's like the borders in Africa drawn by the British.

3 minutes ago, KhunHeineken said:

None at all. Just saying they aren't Thai.

44 minutes ago, NickyLouie said:

In fact, I served as exchange from Thammasat to Prince of Songkhla for a year. I've travelled extensively in Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, Narathiwat and Satun. Not only was I welcomed by locals but Muslims were included in Buddhist festival events and vice versa. I even became friends with some Patani Liberation Organisation members.

Face it: Thailand sold four provinces to the colonial Brits in Malaya to finance a national railroad. This separated families and communities. They have every right to grievance.

And, neither are you. Right?
