Two men were killed after a car driver lost control and crashed into several parked vehicles on Kanchanaphisek Road in Bang Bua Thong, Nonthaburi, in the early hours of 10 January 2026. The impact caused extensive damage to multiple vehicles parked along the roadside and prompted an emergency response from police and rescue teams.

Police from Bang Bua Thong Station and rescuers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation were called to the scene at 12:55am on 10 January 2026. The crash occurred on the inbound lanes of Kanchanaphisek Road in front of the Por Phasuk housing estate in Phimonrat subdistrict, Bang Bua Thong district, Nonthaburi, where two fatalities were reported and a forensic doctor was requested to attend.

At the scene, a green Toyota saloon car with registration from Saraburi had slammed into a streetlight pole and was heavily wrecked. Inside the vehicle, officers found two deceased men, one identified as Mr Chakinpat Mahakong, aged 37, while the second man was unidentified and believed to be aged between 30 and 35.

Three other vehicles and one motorcycle parked at the roadside were also damaged. These included a white Toyota van registered in Bangkok, a white Toyota box truck registered in Bangkok, a yellow-and-orange taxi registered in Bangkok and a grey Yamaha Grand Filano motorcycle registered in Bangkok, with long skid marks visible in the right-hand lane.

Mr Phadungkiat Ma-um, 45, the driver of the van, said he had parked and gone to eat rice porridge at a nearby shop about 15 minutes before the crash. He said he heard braking before the saloon car struck his vehicle, pushing it into the car in front, adding that it was fortunate customers had been seated inside the shop, warning that outdoor tables could have led to further casualties.

Ms Chamaiporn Ketsin, 29, the porridge shop owner, said she heard braking before the car crashed into the front of her shop. She ran inside and later saw the saloon car destroyed, with both occupants unconscious.

Kaoded that police have documented the scene and taken statements from affected drivers. CCTV footage from nearby cameras will be reviewed to determine the cause of the crash, while the bodies were transferred to the Institute of Forensic Science for post-mortem examinations.
