New TDAC Required Every Time You Enter?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I’m here on a multiple entry tourist visa and will shortly need to leave the country and reenter for a second permission to stay of 60 days, which I’ll be doing at a land border crossing with Laos. My question is, am I required to complete another online TDAC form, as I did when first entering?

Many thanks.

Yes, another TDAC is required. Every entry = a new TDAC.

It's an arrival card. If you are arriving, you need an arrival card for that arrival.

To be pedantic...TDAC is actually an online arrival form. Card dictates a paper form (as previously used for many years).

The name is literally "Thailand Digital Arrival CARD"

From AI - “Skeuomorphism refers to a design element that mimics a physical, often obsolete, object to provide familiarity in a new, digital context. “ I’d expand this definition beyond digital contexts, eg a picture of a steam locomotive on a rail crossing sign.

Yes...

Sames as the old paper Arrival cards

Not exactly on topic but what if you do not have access to either/or computer or printer?

I plan on visiting relatives and staying at wife's house in Lao, no printer but computer. I have to go to Hong Kong in a couple of weeks for medical supplies necessary for me to continue to live. I will not have computer or printer access to the best of my knowledge.

You don't need to print anything. And you can easily complete the TDAC on your phone, no computer required.

If you cannot fill the form on your phone do it at the kiosk at the airport when you arrive.

Yes, No, Maybe.

It all depends on the immigration office and possibly even the immigration officer you are dealing with.

Most likely you will be allowed to do so if you entered with an actual tourist visa though.
