I always like to do it before.

I have it in hand, there's no waiting sometimes the weight for the reentry can be quite long and I don't have to give them the silly 200 baht for taking a picture of me when I have scabs of photos that are next to impossible to use

Nonsense. I have done 14 reentry permit at airports. It's a quick process

I posted requirements for TM8 at immigration office above.

In the main depends on travel etc to local immigration.

It does mean you get to jump the initial counter at Swampy and hand in the documents to the Immigration Police Officer in the little side room.

Usually this makes little to no difference but on one occasion I got to jump in front of an inept group of Filipinos. It certainly saved me 30 minutes.

Note for others: reentry permit desk at BKK is just prior to passport control.

For DMK the desk is just past immigration lines.

I went to immigration yesterday and it was done in a flash. I had all the correct photocopies. In at 830 and out at 915. It could have been faster, but no one was at the counter to give me a tm8 so getting that late set me back. I hurriedly filled out the form and they called my number first round. I finished the form, found the queue and the lovely io was waiting for me. I thanked her profusely and explained no one was at the desk to provide the form. She processed me immediately and the stamp came back from a trainee in less than 15 minutes.

Appears most if not all the Chinese students that used to clog this department are gone 🎉🎉
