Trump's Commerce Secretary Lied About Epstein Relationship

Featured Replies

Here's what Howard Lutnick, Trump's Commerce secretary said about his connection to Jeffrey Epstein in an interview with Miranda Devine, a far right journalist:

"My wife and I decided that I will never be in the room with that disgusting person ever again."

"I was never in the room with him socially for business or even philanthropy; if that guy was there, I wasn't going because he's gross."

"That's my story. A one and absolutely done"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8_s4Z2TQAE

These quotes can be found starting at about 2 minutes and 30 The interview took place in October of 2025. Lutnick claims that his final encounter with Epstein took place in 2005.

It turns out that he later visited Epstein on the island with his family. The correspondence between them look awfully friendly.

Such informations may explain why Trump was opposed to the release, as several allies and connections have been mentioned. In addition to (uncorrobated, according to the DOJ) statements showing that Trump was aware of Epstein's crimes. 🤣

Funny how all the wokes are only obsessed with Trump and not with many others who were seen fondling or half nude in a pool with other ladies in Epstein's dungeons.

The others are not the president of the United States. JHC take another shot of the Kool Aid.

In America this guy continues to work on despite this ... in the UK they media and right wingers are having a go at Starmer for hiring someone.

No but they are still under the limelight and some top industrial tycoons who appear in the files, are even more powerful and influential then the POTUS. Trump has never hidden his raw behaviour. But all the others, still very powerful or influential in America and who loved hitting on Trump ? Those types, pretending to be squeeky clean from the front and real pigs from the back are worse.

But he has fiercely lied about it. Nail all the fiddlers.

Get caught in a lie - double down.

I thought it was very accommodating of Epstein to invite Lutnick and his family to his island.

Even more accommodating of Lutnick to bring along his four kids and their nannies — especially just months after Epstein had been convicted of sex offences involving a minor.

That takes a certain level of comfort — or colossal incompetence.

Trump — only picks the best people.

It seems to be increasingly fascinating that the number of people in Trump's selection for jobs of major significance are being discovered to have had personal close association with Epstein !

Yes yes there are others on the other side of the political persuasion also being identified but who of them are currently in a position to cover over the facts such as Patel and Bondi as examples ?

My question — did Trump lie about his Epstein relationship?

‘I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him. I mean, people in Palm Beach knew him. He was a fixture in Palm Beach.’

Lutnick had only about 10 mentions in the files.

Yet when Rep. Jamie Raskin searched the unredacted database, Trump’s name reportedly returned over a million hits — including variants like Donald and Don.

Statistically, observed frequency informs inference.
At sufficiently high volume, incidental contact becomes increasingly implausible.

‘Just another guy in Palm Beach’ — that’s a stretch, even for Donald Trump.

The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.

It's amazing how much we still don't know and at the same time how many more names get revealed albeit with little info attached. Most of congress dems/reps are mostly in the dark also. They get more info than the public but most are not privy to the incriminating parts of the files.

Congress members should force the issue by naming those that were hidden from the public as well greatly diminishing the redactions. If done on the floor of congress they are protected legally by the constitution.

No question that the Epstein files are Trump's Kryptonite, and they just don't seem to be going away anytime soon. A million mentions certainly points toward guilt in the minds of many, we know how close those two were, and we know Don's predilection for younger women, and we know the fact that he was morally depraved and ethically bankrupt, so why wouldn't he have gotten with minors and committed serial statutory rape?

The Lutnick part is fun, though it does not seem to point toward any sort of guilt for anything other than being a bald-faced liar. But that just makes him a perfect associate of Trump, who always pick from the bottom of the barrel and a pathogical liar with a total lack of integrity, working under him should be expected from Don.

Spot on. I was argung this exact point in another thread.

The amount of grief Starmer is getting for the actions of another is (although merited) quite extreme considering it was Mandelson who did all the lying and it was Mandelson who was chums with Epstein, NOT Starmer. Mandelson got sacked as Embassador to the US but because Starmer chose him, he's taking an awful lot of flak with many pushing for his resignation. Yet here we have the US Commerce Secretary openly lying with '"I was never in the room with him socially for business or even philanthropy; if that guy was there, I wasn't going because he's gross." only to have it confirmed he visited Jeffrey Epstein's island in 2012 WITH HIS KIDS. Essentially he lied through his back teeth and only fessed up when he was caught out.

How is this guy still in the job? Not only is he still in his job but according to Karoline Leavitt “Secretary Lutnick remains a very important member of President Trump’s team and the president fully supports the secretary,” It is literally unbelievable and just goes to show the standards (or lack of) that have been set by the Trump administration.

The bar just keeps getting lower and lower. Soon it'll be underground.

Maybe 'cause those "others" aren't president-emperor of the free world, control the nukular football, are committing war crimes by double-tapping shipwreck survivors, are pirating oily tankers, or threatening to invade icyland!

Agree in most cases but the names and deeds need to come out so we can move on. Hopefully the self proclaimed righteous don't become monsters and create more evil.

He is practically untouchable which was frustrating when I voted for Hillary years ago but now not so much. Doesn't matter what "your guy" does as long as he is on the same team.

Absolutely. Is there any integrity left in US politics? It doesn’t appear so.

It’s about time the Epstein Files were renamed the Epstein-Trump Files.

Like a mutt urinating on every fire hydrant to claim ownership, Trump has spent a lifetime trying to bolt his name onto anything that stands still — ballrooms, cultural institutions, hotels, bridges, stations — you name it.

The irony is — his name reportedly appears all over the Epstein files — somewhere between 38,000 and one million mentions if some counts are to be believed — that’s not association, that’s a naming rights deal.

Yet that’s one plaque he won’t ever be unveiling.

I prefer the (Jeffrey-Don) JD files. But I get your point and there's no question Trump has more skeletons in his closet than a Papuan Highlander cannibal. He has much to hide, and he definitely seems to be in panic mode. And his state of mind is already so unstable and so erratic, watching him in panic mode is like watching a 13-year-old that's just been bullied in the schoolyard. Except more fun.
