Who cares. It was just a random number I pulled out of the air.

Of course you use it in all those farang dishes. Foreigners don't eat Thai food

Maybe the people who might wish to try beef at a reasonable price?

Dishes like Peking Braised Beef Noodles and Massaman Curry with beef are 'farang' dishes?

That's quite the poor attitude to life you have there 😊 Cheer up 😊

Please link to where you did it BEFORE I listed them. Every time I go back to check something at your request, it goes on to prove that you were actually wrong. So I think it best that you link to where you did it, so there is no chance of me not referring to the correct post.

So please...link to where you brought up the BBQ grills ant Mu Khrata, the ceramic pots...any of those things.

I remember distinctly that you were arguing that Mu Khrata didn't have BBQ. Now you are pretending that you knew it all along. You are weird. 😊 You don't tell the truth. Prove it. Show us that you posted about all of those styles that you describe, BEFORE I had to point them out to you.

Read what I just posted. That should give you an indication it doesn't matter what you posted, as it was already common knowledge. I actually, along with my ex, girlfriend and their families, have used all the methods. 8 + years. You listing what I already knew is what? Maybe you can think of the term yourself. The only thing I changed was admitting Mu Krata was a type of Thai BBQ. The others I listed, ceramic, clay pots, my girlfriends small grill. I do tell the truth. You misunderstood what I originally said. Again on you. Is this a contest? I posted first about the comparison between American style BBQ'ing and the fact Thais don't use that style very much. Very simple. You didn't understand what I meant, and have been going on and on trying to prove me wrong. I wasn't wrong, and you're still trolling, so again, stick to the OP.

If anything its better now cause there's more farang food!

Here in Thailand, the very LAST thing I want to do is...
Eat Farang food.

What?

Thai food is not good enough for you guys?

Here in Thailand, I also do not eat Chinese food.

If I want Chinese food, I go to China.

If I want a pizza, I go to Italy.

If I want Farang Food, I go to Farang Land.

But, I never eat Farang Food in Thaiand.

This is another reason I am unable to leave Thailand/China.

I would have no source of food.

As an aside, if you have all those 'styles' available to you, why have you not created some barbecued meats to show them how it's done?

"If you think about how many traditional grills you've actually seen used here, it would be very few. Compare that to the millions of grills used in the US alone. No comparison, which is my point. Yes, they do have the 18in, tall by 14in wide short grills, made of clay, a Tao, used by almost everyone here to cook mostly fish, Batu, and meatballs and chicken. The US standard was what I've been referring to. Not my vision of things but what I was talking about all along. I've been fully aware there are other styles of grilling worldwide all my life".....................Page 11. Before this you mentioned earthen vase, which is an old style I also knew about (although again you might have assumed otherwise) and I also mentioned many others going back to when fire pits started.

So you aren't able to prove your assertion that you posted about other methods of BBQ in Thailand before I brought them to your attention. Yet you claimed that you did. So was that a LIE or just your way of not quite telling the truth? (Cue more wriggling and squirming)

Why would you even bring up the subject of BBQ if you already knew of the oil drum method and all the other methods? It's not like everyone has a pizza oven, is it?

You just have these weird nostalgic moments where you dream of being back in the good ole USA. You should hurry back. American style BBQ devices are there waiting.

Ok, one Thai dish that's technically not actually Thai as it's 'Muslim curry'

Those beef dishes are essentially stewing meat... stewing the tough meat. So, when you tell me it's cheaper... I'll tell you you get what you pay for.

I won't eat that Thai French rubbish don't know why I'd like chuck or flank from an open market in Nakon Nowhere. Guess it give the gums good exercise

Plenty cheery. Just cracked a beer. I'll be even more cheery in an hour

Try sticking to the original statement I made, which is still a fact. Going sideways is confusing you. If you still haven't figured out what I meant by American style grilling, a gas or coal BBQ grill, and not an oil drum even though I posted that quick picture trying to show you what I was talking about, you're lost in your own thinking. You know what I meant.

That's what I stated. That I buy beef fit for purpose and it's perfect for the dishes mentioned, literally melting in your mouth. So what the problem?

So all those Thais in the south are not Thais at all? Do I need to tell the ones which live all around the country that they are not really Thai?

Sure, can do:

They don't BBQ here like they do back home, besides the little ones for meatballs, squid, chicken and such to sell, but most everything else is the same.

You are wrong. There are many different styles of BBQ in Thailand, rather than just what you have mentioned there.

Okay?

You still can't understand all I did was tell another that BBQ like they do in America, with American style grills, is done but a fraction of the time that it's done in America. Again, read that a few times so you don't go off track. That's all. Nothing to do with the myriad of other styles used here, as I and others I know have used many times over the years. Funny, the three, now, people I've talked to on the phone who have been here understand what I meant, as I'm sure everyone else here does. Yes, lets go back to the OP, and list things that are or not better after 20 years, and try restraint this time.

Please show me where you did that.

What I read was this:

Eating is done everywhere and no different here than back home, where the variety is much larger. They don't BBQ here like they do back home, besides the little ones for meatballs, squid, chicken and such to sell, but most everything else is the same.

I saw nothing of what you claim to have written. Was it in a post before the one I quoted, as I only recently joined the thread. Show me where you posted what you have claimed above. It this another...demonstration of your inability to tell the whole truth?

most everything else is the same. Understand yet? Again, seeing you still haven't comprehended that I, along with my GF, EX and many families, HAVE used all the styles listed herein.

Haven't you understood that If I, along with them, have used all those styles listed, all the years I've lived here and before. already knew about them, and was only referring to the , again, traditional American style gas or charcoal grill, and not the oil drum kind? Most everything is the same means they use Thai style, clay pots, small short grills, and Mu Krata also back in the states. Think a little this time around.

Stop calling me a liar when you haven't any proof as it makes you look like more of a troll, and also less of a man. I already posted all I need to for anyone with a high school education to understand. They don't BBQ here like they do in America means they don't use the type of grill I've been talking about. Again, GAS GRILL AND CHARCOAL GRILL. Not oil drum, but the one in the second picture I sent.Skimming and bad comprehension skills aren't helping you much. How does that fit with what you are trying to convey? There you state that it's just "little ones for meatballs, squid, chicken and such to sell"

But now you are claiming that what everyone but me understood was that you really meant Thai style, clay pots, small short grills, and Mu Krata 😊 as opposed to just "little ones for meatballs, squid, chicken and such to sell"

I've actually proved it comprehensively throughout this thread. You have not been able to refute a single thing. Every claim that you make is rebutted with clear evidence. You have not been able to back up even a single one of your assertions. You have resorted to abuse, name calling and all sorts. But what you haven't been able to do, is to throw me off the trail. Your behaviour is so entrenched, that lying and deception feels absolutely normal to you. Everyone else can see it, other than you.

Like the kid with chocolate all over their face, denying that they took the chocolate.

Up to you, I don't mind. I don't have to live with you 😊

You're confusing yourself here. Start over. Thailand people don't use the traditional GAS ad CHARCOAL American style grills but a fraction of what Americans and western countries do. Yes, some people have them, as I , again, saw them sold here, mostly to foreigners. Stick to this statement, as it's what I've been saying all along.

Most of what's used here are the small grills for meatballs, the short clay pots, and oil drums for pigs, which isn't near as much as the little ones used mostly for selling to the public. Yes, many Thais also have them at home, but how many have the American style gas and charcoal grills? Not many. Can you understand this now? No lies, as I've again used and seen used all types of BBQ styles here, besides those American Gas and charcoal grills. Repeat this a few times, as coming back is redundant on your part.

Actually, it's you that's been confused all along, making this go as long as it has even though a teenager could understand what i meant all along, especially after i explained it many more times. Are you still not getting what I meant, or do I need to break it down to a toddler's thinking? I've backed up everything I've said. I'm sure I've eaten BBQ here in all ways a lot more than you, seeing i actually integrate with Thai families and not hookers and Russian women.

Seeing I've never lied here, that also shows what type of character you are, insinuating i do. That again, is on you.

Sorry there isn't any help for your kind, with all your usernames I'm thinking a possible multiple personality disorder, along with blatant narcissism. Now lets go back to where our original argument started, using one of your many usernames, with you saying Naples pizza was better than Neopolitan New York pizza, when they tied but since you visited Naples, you're the automatic expert on pizza.

Now, you can keep your trolling up, or like i suggested, return to the OP, and not try and enlist others into your vendetta against me, as only a fool would join in. And stop answering for others, as again, no one here wants to be lumped into your insanity. I really would feel sorry for anyone who had to live with you, as they would run screaming into the hills after a short time.

I bought a smoker from here, great smokers and also do great classes for buyers

I had a good one in Texas, a combo smoker/ grill, and was sorry I left it behind, thinking i would just find another here. They sell more now than when I first moved here, but seeing I'll be moving in the not too distant future, I'll just wait until we get back to Texas. I smoked Brisket and Ribs a few times, never having tried it before, and they came out perfect. I just listened to a friend's advice, as Texas BBQ is world class and many know the tips.

Moving the goal posts AGAIN.

Why would they use a shop bought American style grill, when they have so many TRADITIONAL styles already? Fire pits, vases and various types of charcoal grill. That's a lot already, isn't it?

Why on earth would you bring up the lack of a gas powered MODERN(adapted from oil drum designs) American style grill as a point or reference? It makes no sense at all. You are just WEIRD 😊 Are you okay, freddy? Freddy, are you okay?

Adapt an oil drum or have one adapted for you. You been in Thailand years now, singing the same song of how you are going back to the US and yet... So why not create a smoker of your own and have some fun with it, instead of continually looking for negatives in Thailand?

Wow...it's really muddled in your brain, isn't it?

Hookers and Russian women? What has that to do with anything? Are they against BBQ? Russians love shashlik and Thais and even ex-hookers like a BBQ too. I have a friend up-country inviting me there to experience a more natural life style. So I'm acquainted with many walks of life.

From all of this, its plainly obvious you really have no clue what I've said and meant from the start. I'm not moving anything, and I've tried to explain things tom you in a way anyone should understand. I did this many times, yet you keep coming back thinking it's about me. that's the narcissist personality thinking. Along with the gaslighting you've used many times before. That you aren't seeing this also explains things. This has had nothing to do with what a Thai could or want to use but what they actually do use here.

Simply put, again, for you, Thais do not use American style Gas and Charcoal grills but a fraction of how much Americans do. Can you try and just think about that simple statement and not go into your constant drivel of thinking I don't know about other BBQ styles here, although I've explained that also many times, that I and my families here have used them all the time I've lived here? Your thinking has you really confused, as all I was saying from the start was that simple thing. It again has no bearing on whatever styles Thais use more.

You thinking someone that's proven you wrong time and again is weird is exactly like a teenager arguing with a much more intelligent and wise parent. That you keep coming back for more knockdowns also shows a severe lack of self control. I don't have to prove anything here as I've been honest and pointing to the point all along. that you keep going off on tangents is weird activity.

Again, stick to the topic, and in the future, don't comment on my posts as it gets tiring making you look stupid.

Yes, I'm like your psychiatrist trying to make you understand yourself, but with what you have, it's rather futile as there is no hope. Anything you say is possibly a lie or exaggeration, as that's how you work.

You statement of what you claim that you meant has changed enormously since Page 9 of your original statement. Blaming others for you not writing clearly what you meant in the first place, merely demonstrates your own poor character and inability to communicate.

Why did you not write exactly that on Page 9 or Page 10? I'll tell you why...because that is not what you meant. You have just changed what you meant to fit in with now. That's what you do, change your story to fit with what you want people to believe.

Not everything was better 20 or 30 years ago. I remember how nightlife was dirt-cheap and wonderful, yet under a cloud: HIV !

HIV was a death sentence back then.

I must say though: Thai cooks do a dynamite job at FUSION CUISINE...meaning an amalgam of Thai-Food plus either Western-Food or Chinese-Food. I once had a great Vindaloo done by a Thai chef, but Vindaloo is a Western dish, or recipe, as far as I know.

Anyway: Thai chefs are great at FUSION...

(Am not talking about Nuclear Fusion, either.)
