A 31-year-old man, Truong Nguyen Huy, attacked a female delivery worker in Ho Chi Minh City after a dispute over a food delivery. The 44-year-old victim was repeatedly hit on the head and face until she collapsed. Authorities are now building a criminal case against Huy following the assault on Sunday afternoon.

The incident began when the delivery worker arrived at a hotel to drop off a food order. Due to the lack of hotel staff present, she asked the customer to meet her outside to collect the delivery. This led to a heated argument when Huy emerged, resulting in him violently assaulting her.

Security footage showed Huy hitting the woman, causing her to fall and her motorbike to topple onto her leg. Local residents quickly responded, helping the victim and trying to stop the attack. Despite their intervention, Huy continued his aggression until more bystanders intervened.

Following the incident, police summoned Huy for questioning, where he admitted to losing his temper during the disagreement. The victim received medical attention at a nearby hospital and was later discharged. The police are now proceeding with a criminal investigation against Huy for the assault.

Looking ahead, authorities will continue to gather evidence and may press charges. The case highlights the risks delivery workers face and raises concerns over customer interactions. Local law enforcement is urging the public to remain calm and respectful in such situations to prevent violence, reported VN Express.
