How Americans pay for war

Fifty-eight per cent of your income tax money is going to the military and its support. The war on Iran has led to a notable surge, with increases exceeding $1 billion a day.

The War Department told Congress that the first week of the war on Iran cost $11.3 billion.

To replace its arsenal, the Pentagon is expected to ask Congress for an additional $50 billion. Trump wants to add $600 billion to the military’s annual budget.

This will add $39 trillion to the national debt. [But check out how much we're paying for past wars! The war on Iran will someday be in the past and we'll still be paying!]

This will increase the percentage of your income tax dollars going to the military, and decrease it for human resources.

When will this senseless waste be stopped? How many will be killed, injured, displaced, deported?

[Counting to a billion takes approximately 31.7 years, assuming you count one number per second, 24 hours a day, without stopping for sleep or food. If counting only 8 hours a day, the task would take over 95 years. A billion seconds is slightly less than 32 years, while a million seconds is only about 11.5 days. You couldn't count to a trillion in this lifetime.]
