That seems like a false statement.

Just the messenger, Dude. You're right, though. I don't think I have much to be ashamed of.

‘No shame’. A perfect way to round off a rant calling Jews ‘loony’ for having the temerity to exercise their right to peacefully protest. ‘Kill Israel’, not just hyperbole but illogical and baseless

Their signs certainly have relevance, fringe or not.

Good point.

There was the British Mandate of Palestine.

Before the local Arabs (many of whom were recent migrants from many other countries) decided to call themselves Palestinians. it was the Jews there that were Palestinians.

Given what I see with at least one overly verbose member, I get the feeling that he must be on the state of Israel's payroll. 🤔 What's the going rate per post I wonder? It's hard to believe anyone can be so one-side for free? Man - if I could get paid a couple of Benjamins per post, I'd consider becoming an ardent Zionist myself. thumbsup I'd have to change my name to something like ChaChaing-Thing? biggrin

Such a sleazy troll post.

I guess you missed the many times I called Netanyahu a monster, huh?

Also have said several times the response in Gaza though a response was needed was OVERKILL.

On this very topic I acknowledged that Israeli propagandists use pink washing.

The Israeli regime might want to pay me NOT to post.

You should have said Straw Man Garbage.

I could have easily mixed you up with others. Perhaps.

If you support the right of Israel to exist as a Jewish state then you're not really anti-Zionist.

Don’t presume to tell me what I should have said or indeed what I support.

I’ll express my own views and have no need of your unwelcome assistance in doing so.

Sorry, my figures were off.

The UN divided Palestine via Resolution 181 on November 29, 1947, recommending that the British Mandate be split into an independent Jewish state, an independent Arab state, and an international zoneencompassing Jerusalem. The plan was never implemented due to the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The UN proposed dividing the territory as follows: [1]

  • The Jewish State: Allocated about 55-56% of the land, divided into three major blocks:

    • The Eastern Galilee

    • The Coastal Plain (including Tel Aviv and Haifa)

    • Most of the Negev Desert

  • The Arab State: Allocated about 42% of the land, consisting of:

    • The Central and Western Galilee

    • The hill country of Samaria and Judea (the West Bank)

    • The coastal plain near Gaza, extending down to the Egyptian border

  • International Zone (Jerusalem): Allocated roughly 1% of the territory to be placed under permanent international trusteeship administered by the United Nations. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Demographics and Ownership
At the time of the vote, the Arab population made up approximately two-thirds (67%) of the total population, while Jews made up one-third (33%). The Jewish community owned roughly 6% to 8% of the land. Consequently, the proposed Arab state had a very small Jewish minority, while the proposed Jewish state was to have a near 50-50 split between Arab and Jewish residents.

Here's just some of the history. And then we have HaShoMer, Haganah, Irgun, Lehi and the good old IDF kill anything that moves. Much of this, historically and currently, was terrorism against the Arabs.

Displacement and "Transfer": Privately in his diaries, Herzl also contemplated the necessity of demographic separation. He speculated about encouraging the "penniless population" to leave by securing them employment in neighboring countries while denying them work within the Jewish state, in order to secure a Jewish majority

The Iron Wall: In his foundational 1923 essay The Iron Wall, Jabotinsky argued that Arabs would never voluntarily agree to a Jewish state. He stated that Zionism could only succeed if backed by an impenetrable "iron wall" of Jewish military superiority until the Arab population gave up on preventing a Jewish state, at which point he believed a compromise and lasting peace could be negotiated

You mean it's fine to describe the Holocaust but not the eradication of Palestinians?

The UN Human Rights Council and the Int'l Assn of Genocide Scholars agree it's genocide. 14 countries--Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Egypt, Ireland, Spain, Libya, Maldives, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Türkiye--have joined South Africa's petition to accuse Israel of genocide in the ICJ. Also joined are 31 Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the Organisation for Islamic Cooperation.

Western nations often maintain that any official designation of "genocide" must be determined by a ruling from the international courts.

So, Israel, we'll see you in court. Of course, you won't show up due to some excuse. Or tell us how "antisemitic" it is.

From your linked article:

So I've been into Gaza now four times, embedded with the IDF. I've interviewed the prime minister three times, the chief of staff, the minister of defense - almost every echelon.

INSKEEP: Were you able also to talk with Palestinians as you were going in with the Israeli Defense Forces?

SPENCER: No, unfortunately, not. Just based on safety, really, issues. I'm embedded from a military lens.”

He took an IDF tour and listened to the views of the Israeli leadership.

“INSKEEP: Were you able also to talk with Palestinians as you were going in with the Israeli Defense Forces?

SPENCER: No, unfortunately, not. Just based on safety, really, issues. I'm embedded from a military lens. You know, I served myself. My research is how to conduct urban operations. So I was really studying what are the IDF doing - the tactics, techniques, procedures, the orders, the targeting process.”

He can stop right there, right? Israel’s “fight is with Hamas”, he states. Ergo, all those Gazans killed and wounded must all be Hamas. Great job, IDF!

Finally, you solved the terrorism problem. Oh, but you reduced Gaza to rubble and there’s zero evidence you wiped out the root of Hamas. The root of Hamas is ideology based on the fact that Israel has been trying to get rid of Palestinians since 1909!

Of course, this urban warrior guy lies about the infrastructure, particularly medical, remaining. He lies.

“Hamas was purposely wanting there to be a humanitarian crisis.” JFC!

“Spencer has been cited by Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in defense of Israel's approach to Gaza. Yesterday, Netanyahu issued a statement saying his country is fighting a just and moral war. He has also said there is no starvation in Gaza.

President Trump dismissed that claim yesterday, referring to images of starving people and saying, quote, "you can't fake that." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TRUMP!

I could flip that straight back at you and ask how much the Iranian government or Hamas is paying for anti-Israel posts. There's one member on AN who has started over FIFTY (!) separate anti-Israel threads- that's threads, not just posts. He has written hundreds of anti-Israel posts spread over numerous threads.

No pro-Israel member comes close to that output. However, I don't believe he or any other member of AN is paid by any government to write posts. I regard the whole notion of paid comments on a forum like AN to be an absurd idea and out of touch with reality.

It makes sense for governments or groups to pay social media influencers who have thousands of followers and millions of views. It makes no sense to pay for anonymous comments on an "adult-oriented" board like AN. That would simply be throwing money away.

I believe those who post in favor or against Israel do so out of personal conviction, with some actually enjoying confrontational exchanges. And of course, the anti-Jewish posts are mostly driven by hatred of Jews. That's a stronger motivator than financial gain.

This is entertaining.

Israelis getting kicked out of a restaurant in Italy.

She plays the 2000 year persecution and the Jew hater / anti-semite cards.

Then, the owner plays the Zionist card.

Then the Israeli plays the "Jesus was Jewish" card.

You may, or may not, be talking about me, Ev. Nevertheless, I post about Israel out of conviction that war is evil, no matter who the perpetrator. Honestly, I don't give a hang about Israelis, Jews, Palestinians, Muslims, Americans. All I care about is stopping wars. Don't love, don't hate.
