Hello, Looking for a bit of advise, myself (English) and my Thai girlfriend are planning a long weekend from Chiang Mai to the south of China and need to know what the visa requirements are and how to get them etc. Any help would be appreciated Thanks...........

Don't bother calling them as they NEVER answer the phone.Call in to the office early morning and collect the application form.MAKE SURE you get a ticket number from the counter and then fill in the forms and sit and wait for your number to be displayed.

U will need to pics also.

The visa costs 1,100 Baht and can be collected in 4 days.They will issue a visa in 1,2 and 3 days but the price increases upto 2,200 for next day collection.

Short version: you both need visas and can obtain them from the Chinese consulate in Chiang Mai. Have your girlfriend ring them up (053.276125, 053.200424) and see what the current requirements are to process a visa.
