And someone mentioned on another post that the New Toyota Extended Cab would have the small "jump" doors behind the regular doors, like the Mazda, Ford & Nissan do... Anyone hear the same???

Toyota have been offering "special" paint jobs and accessories lately...that usually is to clear backlogs etc and make way for new models/versions........

Was in the local Toyota dealer on Saturday getting a service. I had a chat with the manager whom I've known for a long time and he said nothing major coming out within the next three years. As for the jump doors, he didn't know anything about those, adding that if there are to be any changes with the Vigo, they would be cosmetic only.

It's not unusual for dealers not to know of any major changes. Tthey need to sell cars NOW, not tell customers to come back next year. That is also a reason for Toyota to keep them in the dark. Once the secret is out, they won't stop talking about it. Rumors do not increase Toyota's sales at all.

Other manufacturers are more open about extra publicity, some offer big discounts to get sales up once the new model is ready for launch. I bet you can get a good deal on Accord now, for example.

For Toyota you have to look for spy pictures on Thai websites and scout through Thai magazines.

Just a few weeks ago Fortuner got a 2wd version. Have you heard about that? It was very quiet, I think because it only comes with 2.7 gasoline engine, not the 3l diesel. 2wd Fortuner would boost its sales - who really needs to pay for 4wd maintanance and extra fuel if they never go offroad, but Toyota still doesn't have an auto gearbox for 3l that could go with 2wd.
